Bc 2 stroke wheel gets 2x more power cycles than a 4 stroke, makes a huge difference in the super steep wet knarly stuff, I’m currently on a 4 stroke and sometimes I miss how easy a 2 stroke is to go slow on.

A big aspect in my opinion in regards to hard enduro is that two strokes just don't stall as easily and have better low end power for clearing logs ect. these are all inherit mechanical advantages of producing roughly the same power in half the strokes

I'm really suprised he couldn't describe the nuances between a 4 stroke and 2 stroke better for such an elite rider. The 2 stroke vibrates less and has less engine inertia, runs lower RPM better. You can ride it all day and not get tired. The 4 strokes of course have more traction, vibrate more, and have to rev the piss out of it to get it to where you want it (250/350). Put a Rekluse auto clutch in either....and pick what you want to ride.

2 strokes don't stall as easy as 4 strokes in low rpms, which is a big advantage in hard enduro/technical riding... in my opionion, that's the biggest advatage to a smoker verses a thumper.

The Enduro setup to MTB example he was looking for would be like riding down a paved alpine road full blast with a DH bike. Nah it's no fun 😂

Hsq pays everythink. If he feels better on 4stroke he can ride 4stroke. Letty and Walker are riding 2strokes in superenduro

Pretty sure Chris birch ran a excf500 at Romaniacs maybe 1-2 years ago and won silver class

@@CoreyFromNZ actually quite a few still use 4 stroke up there but top classes use 2 stroke today. It suppose to be a bit easier but not sure about that anymore. Probably less prone to stalling is the main reason they use 2t.
