I have drilled probably 40-50 balls in the past year. Always trying something different so I know the differences in the balls. Not all are NIB though, and I give away a lot of balls to friends and youth bowlers.

Hey Barks?!?! Is Aggression a stronger cover than Symtex and do you think the Web Pearl is a good compliment to the Scorpion?

I have a Web Pearl and Scorpion. They do give me 2 different looks with my Pearl being much more aggressive in the back end. I think it would be referred to as "hockey stick" motion. The Scorpion allows me to play much straighter. It is smoother and continuous. I am new to bowling so my assessment is probably not very technical. Also I should note that the Web Pearl is drilled pin high right (very aggressive) and the Scorpion is drilled pin high mid. I don't know enough about bowling to know if the way they are drilled is making the shape different or if the balls actually have different reactions because of their composition or materials. I am going to throw some shots next week with my pro shop and he is going to help me figure some things out. I will update this if I get good info from him.

Aggression is stronger than Semtex was. The Web Pearl would be a good complimentary piece to the Scorpion for sure

The Web pearl isnt really designed to match up to a freshly oiled 45 foot pattern. But it would be great on a standard house shot. This ball looked really good for Tommy Jones during the PBA League a couple weeks ago.

Has he ever tried to lower his approach a few inches so he rolls the ball smoothly instead of always having a bounce, I'm sure you would be more consistency on your marks since that ball bounce can be either more bouncy to the left to right or front to back from throw to throw. Just seems like a bad habit to have in your game

I recently got my first Urethane/Hammer/non DV8 balls not too long ago (the Purple Hammer), and let me tell you... That ball is stupid good, like insanely good. The way I bowl my teammate suggested that I try a urethane ball, and I'm glad I did. That ball give me so much control, while actually letting me gain more speed on my throws. Anyone who knows DV8, knows that that balls are super aggressive. My Pitbull Bark, Frequency (not as bad as the others), and Hell Raiser Blaze are all super strong. Because of that I find myself having to play wider and or make sure I have the right speed. With my Hammer I can slow it down or speed it up. The biggest thing I realized is that I have way more control with my Hammer, and I am able to play the gutter with confidence. Last week I shot my hugest score ever of 225, which I know it's super high but seeing how I've been bowling for just over two years I was super excited about doing that. I love my purple hammer and I already plan on getting a second real soon.

Dark Web seems to hook more on the backend, a little cleaner through the fronts as well compared to the DGV

Layouts on those were 50 x 4.25 x 30. I wasn’t a huge Double Cross fan, so I’m not in a rush to drill an Attitude Control. I’ll see what others have to say first

I bowl league 2 nights a week. Been doing so for about 3 years. Use to bowl when i was younger. Average about 208. Im usually drilling about 3-4 balls a season. But ever since i got the hustle Camo im going to get another. Love that ball. Also have the RAW Hammer the hybrid one. It works great for when the lanes are really hooking & im just tryna control the pocket. Had a Motiv Pride, & Fatal Venom got rid of both. Also had Axiom solid, P3, and P2. Got rid of both except P2. I will be getting another. So my league bag is usually Raw Hammer hybrid, Hustle Camo, and Phaze 2 plus spare ball.

I just started bowling this summer. So far I have 5 balls drilled including my two spares balls (Hammer Raw and Rhino): Web Pearl (several games 219+) is my favorite so far. I do like my Scorpion (high game 236 so far) but I don't think I match up with it as well. I am still trying to decide how much I like my UC3 (high game 213 but that's my only game over 200 so far with this ball).

Normally I'll drill one new ball a year, on rare occasions I'll drill a 2nd. I just don't bowl as much as I use to and don't need to build a huge arsenal or replace equipment as often.

How much different are the stealth, dark web and envision?

Envision is the strongest with it being asymmetric, then I’d say the Stealth, and the Dark Web being the weakest. But we’re talking a board or 2 of overall hook difference between all 3, just different reaction shapes
