If it weren't for the fact that Nintendo doesn't really do achievements in their games, there should TOTALLY be an achievement in this remake that you get by repeatedly hitting Beldam in the overworld with the hammer.

Something I realized yesterday was that Hooktail mentions feet before the fight in the original too. "And the bottoms of your feet smell like they might make a good sauce with some spices." Also what I wanna know is how all the Petalburgers knew she was female (or even intelligent) when no one who personally encountered her lived to tell the tale? She has no tertiary sexual characteristics, and her voice is pretty deep and gravelly. It made more sense for them to call her "it" before Mario came back from her.

After BDSP, I am afraid to see remakes of Pokemon games. Also, we've already gotten remakes of Gen 2, so between the two, I'd rather see a Gen 5 remake. That or Gen 6 to go along with Legends Z-A.
