Presenting "Hoomaney”- meaning, "Hey human."
Hoomaney is a heartfelt song, capturing the emotions and trials of being a rescue dog. I wanted to compose a song from a dog's perspective, empathizing with his experiences, and that's where Hoomaney came from- inspired by my real-life experiences with Turbo.
Turbo is a rescue golden retriever, who ended up coming home because an acquaintance wasn't able to provide stable care. Feeling wounded and abandoned when he first arrived, he saw me as a familiar face and instantly clung on to me, refusing to leave my side!
This project is special, as it is a personal effort- from composing, producing & programming the song, singing in it, to ensuring this project is completed with the exact vision & message I had in mind (with plenty of help executing this video, of course).
This song is a tribute to furry parents with rescues.
But above all, this song is an ode to Turbo and our relationship.
