I got the chance to see the BMW V12s at the Petit LeMans when they ran. The sound is incredible and looked amazing for their time, and still look great!

I have a 5hr layover in Munich coming next year. Would that be enough time to uber over to the museum and actually be worth it? Goggle shows a 25min drive there from the airport. I'm sure I gotta get back with 1.5-2hrs before my flight. Leaves me under 2hrs at the museum to be safe

I think you'd need about 2 hours to get lost in it but if you're really quick, certainly doable! Had a similar amount of time to visit Munich, I regret not visiting BMW Group Classic. The museum was excellent though, good luck whatever happens!

I stand to be corrected,the BMW Le mans race car took the victory for the 24 hour race in 1999,and the red mirror Mercedes did the tragic flip over,I tried to watch most of the race I could that year

Its a real pitty that BMW does not commit to their real birthplace of their cars in Eisenach /Thuringia with a proud museum there. They hardly even commit in their Munich mueseum that all the BMW cars were built in Thuringia until 1950s.

Such a shame as a fellow Andrew, Drew is the most boring man alive and we see entirely too much of him in the Museum bits. Might just be me too, E34 looks archaic next to the E39. Also, the S14 wasn't an S38 with two cylinders chopped off, how can that be the case when the M10 predates the M30? Anyways, love BMW Classic, I wish I visited. Ditto the V12 LMR, holy heck is that thing HOT
