Every enthusiast should have a sub 300hp lightweight Honda. They are such fun toys
@SR22VET-S156 ай бұрын
I completely agree. I've always had high power turbo cars mostly Nissan's skylines and silvias and to be honest never ever considered a Honda. By chance I needed a daily driver while I was building the engine for my silvia and bought a jdm spec ep3 type r and instantly fell in love with it. 3 hondas later (k20/24 swapped em1 and also a k20/24 fn2r) safe to say I absolutely love them. So easy to maintain, cheap to run, easy on brakes and tyres, can run lap after lap after lap and keep going, then even be used as a daily driver to work after giving it hell on the weekends. Fantastic engineering and a super eager engine even without boost they're a heap of fun to drive, as you said everyone should atleast try a well built na honda

I had a 1993 Civic DX coupe with a high compression B18C1, Spoon-balanced JDR ITR pistons, Mugen ECU, which I had mostly gutted. Still had the dash, door cards, but I had taken out the carpet and sound deadening, backseats, carbon fiber hood, del Sol seats. That car was just under 2200 lbs, even with the extra weight from the B series engine/tranny. So much fun, I miss her.

I have the same engine and transmission set up in a Civic EJ1 coupe I had a wreck in mine in 2012 and I'm just now gonna get it back on the road( life circumstances). It's nice to hear that full B18B engines exist without head swap. 198K on the body not sure how much on the JDM B18B though 10-20K of the 198Kwas after I swapped the JDM D15B VTEC that was in it ( I just gave the full D15B and S20 swap to my friend since he wanted to go 5sp manual on his EJ1)

Sick car, i was in HS from 99-03 This, a crx , or the si del sol. You were definitely the man if you had one of those whips. You'd see a Nissan or a Mazda here and there, but the honda's were way more popular. Once F&F came out, everyone wanted to be a street racer.
