Boomhauer’s 1st Dyno Run! Zac’s Texas Speed Powered C10 Squarebody gets put to the Test

It's one of the best (or worst) times in a new build's life: DYNO TIME. That time where all of your hard work gets put to the test, for everyone to see - and where you may have even more work cut out for you. In this case, we think Zac can squeeze a few dozen more angry ponies out of this build. But yeah, 500+ at the wheels with a bench seat?? Perfect.

I once owned a c10.... 1975. Only owned it for three days because I had it detailed and was replacing the carpet when I pulled the carpet back I saw the ground due to the floor being rusted through all the way around we were basically sitting on the transmission ....I miss it now that I have the money to fix it. This build has inspired me to look for another one

I feel ya dude. I had a JDM jzx90 with a big single turbo conversion dumped on coils with fat genuine BBSs Had it throw some CELs and had the driver window mech die and I didn’t have the cash to fix her so I let her go. I still miss her, but, I only had it for 6 months and didn’t have to spend a dime on it AND I made money selling it so I can’t complain too much

Out of curiosity you guys ever heard of a BeauJames? It's a 3/4 ton truck that came on 1/2 ton suspension came with 454ci. 4000 nation wide were produced by GM.

I agree, should have just gotten a new set of Del Rays with the right offset and stance or rebarrel them if possible. It also would look good with some Forgeline wheels, something lightweight for the track or auto cross.

My dad had an old C-10 he used for a work truck that I wanted to build up back in the day, but he ended up selling it before I got my hands on it to start building it. Definitely living my C-10 build dreams through Zac's sick build. Hopefully pick one up after I am down my LS swap build on my car.

Real talk, I got the KOVE speaker after seeing an ad a while back on here and it’s junk. The speaker covers started to bubble up and peel within two weeks of use. The round rubber insert on the bottom peeled around the same time. Sound wise it’s okay but material/build quality. JUNK. I do like the way this truck came out though.

That’s crank vs wheel. The 4l80 and 9 in while strong do decrease power a little. Regardless 500 is a good number for an na last at the wheel. Most big cam 6.0s with good heads out down around the low 400s by me
