Have been to The Hoop-Dee-Doo Review many times over the decades, most recently in September 2022 for my 70th Birthday!! For us it was just a short boat ride from MK. While the food is not the star of the show, the amazingly talented Pioneer Hall Players are what make this fantastic experience worth the cost and the time!!!! Thanks for another great video!!

When booking this reservation it is recommended to give yourself an hour to get to the restaurant from parking. You also can come from MK via boat transportation.

The quickest way to get to Pioneer Hall is to take a boat from The Magic Kingdom to Ft. Wilderness. Pioneer Hall is at the top of the boat ramp. Easy!

This is our favorite experience at WDW! If you take. A Minnie Van they drive you all the way down there for drop of and pick you up right next to the buses. I wish Leslie had been the Can Can dancer! You would be great!

Love this Dinner Show, so Happy we were able to attend back on October. heard the travel part was not great so we utilized a Minnie Van service and was dropped off within 100' of Pioneer Hall. So worth it. First time we went to Hoopie Dee Doo Review our resort was the Contemporary. The Boat ride at the time was adventurous for our kids and its a short walk from the dock - much nicer than the busses to this Show.

So glad you reviewed this for us. We went in 2010 and enjoyed it but even back then the best item was the fried chicken. Also we found it to be "all they care to bring you" instead of "all you care to enjoy". I was considering trying again but my husband is an introvert and I think it would be anxiety inducing for him too. Maybe Leslie and I should go...lol.

We love Hoop Dee Doo! We have been 3 times. The first time in 2010, our kids were 10 & 13. They loved it too. My husband and I went again in Dec. of 2019 for their Christmas show (my favorite) and again in Sept. of 2022. We did category 2 the first 2 times. They were great seats just off to the side on the main floor. Last year we did category 3 and sat up top. It was just as good. Though I am short and I stood up most of the time to see better. Our first 2 times we had great service. They kept bringing food and drinks before we were empty. This last time the service was not good at all. He hardly came by. We were lucky we got 2 drinks. I think in 2019 my husband had 4 beers. We also didn't get seconds on the food this time. The food was fantastic the first 2 times. This time, not so much. The chicken was still great. I don't know if they don't have as many servers now. The show was still great. I would probably try again for their Christmas show.

We were there in early Dec and had the Christmas version. My kids absolutely loved the show (and I did too), but yeah, there was a lot of wasted food for us. We'll go back since my kids liked it so much, but it's not for the food. At family style restaurants, I try to tell the waitstaff if there's something I know we won't eat, but that wasn't an option at HDDR.

Love the Hoop-Dee-Do-Review… my daughter had a Disney Wedding in 2019 and we took her in laws who are from Germany to it!! What’s more American than this show 😉 They loved all of it!! Plus a Disney Wedding is definitely the best low stress wedding ever!! Love that you are living your best life at Disney!!!

I love this show too! However, also being an introvert, it makes me slightly nervous they'll want me to participate! 🤣 They have the fried chicken next door at P & J's Takeout for a much cheaper price and it's served with cornbread, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. ⬅ Winner, winner chicken dinner!

I think we need to start a channel called 'Addicted to Addicted to the Mouse'. We watch the videos at home and listen to the podcasts in the car. Best dining content on KZbin. When we first watched you guys we thought you were harsh on some restaurants but came to realise it was just reality. Not every experience can be 5 stars and if reviewers don't point out the negatives, no one will know where to prioritise and may go to T Rex over Homecomin (Which should be a crime!)

😂😂 thanks so much for this! You’re right, a crime indeed! We try to balance the positives and negatives and give every restaurant a fair chance, but at the end of the day these places are expensive and some of them just aren’t worth it (in our opinions at least 😊)

A Disney classic. I think it's the longest-running dinner show at WDW, going back to the '70s. Best way to get there: take the boat from the Magic Kingdom to the dock by Pioneer Hall. Worth noting: you really need to be there EARLY because if you get there after they close the doors, you're sunk. They won't let you in. (I speak from experience.) The food can be hit or miss, but everyone should try it once, just to see what all the fuss is about. And yeah: I agree, the show is everything,

We were in section 2 (which I think is better than Section 1 because you aren't looking through other people's heads) for the Christmas version of their show. I completely agree about the fried chicken - incredible!! The rest of the food.... eh. Our service was the opposite of what you experienced - our waiter took excellent care of us. I would do it again.
