The problem w that ball is that we live with air around us, and the holes on the ball make the ball move like a sponge, compared to say if a normal basketball was like a solid block with the same weight/size as the sponge

Nah, that's not how it works. Completely different materials, and a sponges holes are completely random. The ball has proper aerodynamics

The problem with that ball is going to be the cost. It could be a game changer for poor basketball fans all over the world....people who spend a month's salary to buy a basketball so they can play with their friends. Having a ball that will never lose air and look amazing to all your friends would be incredible for people like that....if Wilson can make the price normal. I suspect they'll go the Nike route and make it uber-expensive so people will view it as a status symbol....and the people who could really use it will be stuck with the cheaper balls like always.
