Bucks fan here. I am relieved you didnt include the Bucks on this list because most of the media gave the Bucks the worst grade for drafting a raw prospect in AJ Johnson in the first round, instead of an older prospect like Ryan Dunn, who could have helped the team right away and while Dunn might be the better player now, I feel like Johnson has higher potential down the road. The Bucks have had a history of taking swings in historically bad drafts, in 2000 they took Michael Redd, in 2013 they took Giannis. Even though Johnson wont help this team now, taking a swing on him might payoff in the future.

@@blablablaa14 I doubt that. Reed is not actually a bad defender, undersized, yes, but not bad. He is actually more effective than you would think and Castle is a better defender. On that I will agree, but Castle would not break into this rotation. No disrespect to Castle, but right now he isn't a better pro than Cam or J Tate. There simply would not be any minutes for him on this team unless he is playing pg and he is not a good enough pg to play in this Rockets offense that is overly reliant on a floor-spreading pg.

Who else would’ve got real minutes in Houston if picked at #3? He’s about to be VanFleet replacement
@Fetemart8 күн бұрын
I usually agree with your evaluation and analyst but you are very wrong about the the Rockets regretting taking Reed Sheppard. Sheppard is a part of the long term plans for a team that is very deep, very young, and very talented. He;s not getting playing time, not because he is not good, but because there just aren't enough minutes. Cam Whitmore was in in the same boat, but then Cam was swutched into the rotation and with injuries Cam has been balling out. If reed was on a team that wasn't a top 2 team in the West and had so many mouths to feed, he would be having a great year 2. You don't just draft a player for how they will perform in their rookie year. You want a player you can build with over the long term and Reed will be that guy when FVV is no longer with the team in year 2 or 3 and the Rockets need to lean on him more. Reed will be a valuable asset in the longrun, but for now its a learning and growing year.

Dude this draft went from being one of the more underachieving drafts to one of the most overachieving simply due to how overblown the criticism has been from people like you😂. I mean I get making content for clicks but this is insane. Publicly shaming one’s reputation that hasn’t even started yet such as Reed Sheppard lmao. Crazy enough I see this draft being one of those ones that has a lot of NBA holdovers for many years to come. Like maybe one of the most ever. The Al Horford, Mike Conley types, the Brook Lopez, Westbrook, PJ Tucker type of guys. You may not get a single star from this past draft(though if I had to put money I’m still betting Reed to have the best shot ironically enough). Guys like Holland, Carter, Wells, and Ware strike me as first round gritty guys that will stay around for a long time due to yes, skill but overtime more so their wisdom and experience. In the second round I just have a feeling Cam Spencer will be in the league for 15 years lol. Guys like Dalton Knecht and Rissashire have a lot of untapped potential and have barley gotten started but have shown great flashes. Edey could be a borderline allstar for many years to come assuming decent health. I think Clingan and Sarr will both be top the league in blocks for many years to come and oh wow…I literally missed the legit rookie of the year Jared McCain who I also think will be borderline allstar. So you could have 4 or 5 guys that could at least make an all star game or two along with a huge list of solid role players. This is an overall better draft than 2023 it’s just 23 was super top heavy with Wemby, Amen, and Miller so it doesn’t feel like it. But it’s a better overall draft for sure than last years. To give up on guys like Salon or Cody Williams this quick just because they have lacked year one like so many NBA greats have, would just be plain stupid. Damn! Another second rounder I almost forgot is Ajay Mitchell! I’m literally an OKC fan and yet I forgot to mention him that is how deep this past years draft was…Rob Dillingham could be a 20pt scorer one day. Must I continue? Damn man terrible video I’m sorry I usually like you but this one sucked😂😅
