I been saying the same as a heat fan. Jimmy butler coast through the regular season always causing us to be in the playoffs and when we do make a finals run he runs out of gas by the end of the 2nd round. While the heat get rid of butler they should move bam too because he’s not worth his contract either and will probably beg for more when his next extension comes around. Build around Herro and acquire picks is the best play for the heat

Not a heat fan per say but I really enjoy watching them, I'm a die hard raptors fan but I've always liked the Miami Heat. Butler is 35 with a long injury history who coasts during the regular season. In no world does that deserve a max contract. Yes he brought them to 2 finals runs but if you don't win it all it really doesn't mean anything. W take my guy 👊

At this point, losing Jimmy for nothing is just to save ownership some money, because what other star wants to come in and be under-utilized. Not saying Jimmy is in the right( because he's acting a fool), but that's how players will look at that situation. Heats best bet is to just build up through the draft, focus on young wings that will take all the defensive assignments that Jimmy does, while not wanting to have offense ran through/for them. That way, Hero and Bam can be the focal point of the offense.

Poor Miami, they don’t have a choice BUT to trade Jimmy Butler now. They’ll likely get lowball offers for sure, but like you said, the longer this goes on, the worse it’ll be for everyone involved. That said, as a heat fan, it sucks to have him leaving. I’m thankful for the great basketball he’s played for us in the meantime. Outside of trades the heat simply couldn’t do realistically like the Durant or Dame trade, Pat did everything he could for jimmy. He got Kyle who jimmy wanted on the team, ended up costed the team a lot. Jimmy talks a lot, doesn’t play 20+ games a season, and when he does play he half tries in at least 10 games a season. i’m a die hard fan this is not a Pat Riley issue.

I disagree with the big market bias about KAT because until the Knicks became relevant recently they weren’t dominating sports shows topics outside of first take.
