Another wonderful video, brings back such sweet memories of that Going to the Sun trip. Looking at the road now from this vantage point, makes me appreciate the effort it takes to keep those roads clear of the rock slides and snow event debri. Thanks for the time you take to share all this and help us relive excellent experiences of the past.

This is exactly the presentation a virtual tourist expects from You Tube. When to move on, when to stop -- all has been very proportionately presented. A very very well planned clip. We all expect Mr. Hoosier Tim to keep presenting us these kind of quality clips for a very very long time to come. Nirmal Kumar Bhattacharya, Kolkata

thank you so much for sharing this video, now I can see what I missed do to my panik. My son drove with me to the park and when we drove up the road and got higher and higher I panikt and ended up on the back seat laying down. While I layed there in panik my son just mentioned that he had a dream the night befor, his dream was that he fell down from somewhere. I could have killed him. I was there in 2004 and I wonder if they had built some of those barriers along side the road since then. By the way, up on Logan Pass I took a photo of that goat that you saw on the way back down west LOL

would you say this park is similar to the rocky mountains? im debating on either going here to Rocky mountain national park
@hoosiertim10 жыл бұрын
They are both beautiful mountain parks, but in my opinion Glacier is much more spectacular.
@911ambulancegirl9 жыл бұрын
TVinmyEye You are aware that these are in fact the rocky mountains, right?
@TVinmyEye9 жыл бұрын
911ambulancegirl wtf of course I know same range but come on, you really think Colorado/s Rocky mountain national park is going to be identical to Glacier national park? its like saying North Cascades and Crater Lake National park, Both in the Cascade range but both offer different activities.
@911ambulancegirl9 жыл бұрын
TVinmyEye Okay, as long as you realized they were all the Rocky Mountains. That was my only point. And of course Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of my top ten favorite movies. Isn't it yours?

I've been to RMNP & GNP many times. I'd have to say, though, that Glacier is by far the more visually stunning of the two. RMNP is larger but that's about it. You're able to see the much more intense glaciation in Glacier because you're much closer to it. At RMNP it's much more subtle. Trail Ridge Road is OK but doesn't even compare to Going-to-the-Sun. GNP is my favorite National Park & this is a Colorado native talking!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us, America the Beautiful! I've watched your Norway vlog, but I think Glacier National Park is just as pretty. Say, what is the best time to go there, or did you just came back from there? Again, thanks! ~Bel~
@hoosiertim10 жыл бұрын
I was there 3 weeks ago. As for the best time of year it would depend on what is most important for you to see. Waterfalls would be the at their peak in late spring. If you like snow you could go in winter, not sure if the road is open all year or not. Best likelihood of sunny skies I assume would be in the summer. No matter when you go it is spectacular!

33:30 "Is that a glacier then? Yeah!" - Uhhh, NO, it's NOT a glacier. There's SNOW on a mountain, and the camera is looking at a waterfalls from the melting snow, it's NOT a glacier.

Wow Tim Maybe you are a friend of chuck norris cause he told you to travel the world starting in 1980 cause he told you so! and he said that you rule! And Rick Steve, Michael Palin and Matt Lauer suck at traveling and leave the traveling to you and let them stay at home and you traveling for now on ok! Maybe Chuck Norris Mixed Alexander The Great, Marco Polo And Christopher Columbus and mixed them and made you From them and that's why you traveled since 1980 hah Tim?

Seriously? You skip over Apgar and all of Lake McDonald and go straight to upper McDonald creek? Oh, and at the beginning you aren't "east bound" you are "north bound".
