Sucks they don’t allow photography in the house anymore. Loved the corner window in the lodge. Nice river town.

Yeah, just a warning I believe they now don't allow photo/video in all historic interiors at Kentucky State Parks.

That is so silly they won't let u record in there this is my hometown. But there aikt nothing in the house hut furniture. Great vid sorry some people around here choose to be difficult

To be fair, I don't think it is the management of General Butler SP (though they still have chosen to enforce it) but instead Kentucky State Parks. They don't allow photos inside Federal Hill (My Old Kentucky Home) or the Mansion Museum (Old Fort Harrod), and some of their other historic houses. It's a very bizarre rule and I will probably be skipping KY state parks until they change that. Glad to hear a local is on the correct side of this issue haha! Thanks for watching!

It is definitely a Kentucky State Park rule and it is for preservation of the artifacts in the museums. It is actually an old policy and today's photography doesn't have the same effect on artifacts. You can always reach out to Kentucky State Parks central office and ask about filming inside the various properties.@@hoosiertours
