Great video. In my case it was my fault. I put my car mats in the washer and it clogged up the drain filter pipe. I had to remove the pipe and get rid of all the black gunk. Thanks for the help!

subscribed and liked! seen 6 videos and this by far is the best video. others have just a gutter full in the filter or want to clean up pumps without showing how or how to clean filters. my machine frequently gives me E20 and filter is clear. must be the pipe underneath. how to get to that is my next challenge as its a heavy machine under the wortk top! thx

Thank you for your video..I got an E20 code on my hoover machine today, did as you said... Totally blocked, I have been using colour catchers and it looks like some of them went down into the filter...also found a €2, a button, hair bands and a rosary beads?? And a small dental bur from work...I have no idea!!, any filter cleared, have the spin/drain cycle going now and so far so good

Hi Graham. The next step I would try is the pump, They are not that expensive - If in Ireland I could post you one. If the pump doesn’t sort into would be suspecting the PCB after that

Have a E20 fault. Checked filter and had some bits stuck in it. All cleared and double checked black hose - all clear. Ran a spin and drain cycle but E20 comes up again with water sitting!! How do I know the pump is broken!?

It could be that something is blocking the grey drain hose too. When you put the machine on a spin and drain cycle can you hear any noise coming from where the pump is located??

@@walterholleran840 hmm it is a funny one. That is what it is supposed to do unless the main components of the pump have packed in. If you turn on a Wash with no clothes in the machine, wait for the drum to fill a couple of inches of water. Turn the machine to off. Put the machine back on a spin and drain and watch to see if any of the water is leaving the machine. If not, and this would be very messy, but if possible if none of the water drains out you could open the filter and see does the water flow out at a rapid rate. Again he advised this would be Very messy. If it comes out at a fast rate you know it is either a faulty pump or a blocked drain hose. ** On a side note, did you take the sump hose off where it connects to the drum? (2:55 in the video) If you haven’t done this yet I’d try that before any of the above. Sometimes things like socks can get lodged in there. Worth checking that out first.

Screw it anticlockwise as much as you can and try prise it out with a flat head screwdriver, be careful not to do do any damage

Machine worked fine, but after having it on it's sides when I thought drum had dropped but seems ok, I then got E20 error, I left it plugged in and turned off for 24hours and it now starts , some water goes in, then strangely seems to want to empty water, then after a minute the E20 appears before anything else. Pipes seem clear and pump at bottom does turn.

I've now done the board reset by holding first option down, pressed start and it now spins and Doing some kind of wash but all lights are stuck on. I turned off and back on and now it's all working like new.

@@SmartGadgetShow unfortunately It’s hard to diagnose without actually seeing the Machine. Perhaps some water got on the PCB board when you put the machine on its side. Here is something you could try. (Plug out the machine, take off the top and with a hairdryer dry in where the electrical components are. Sometimes there is a PCB at the back of the machine at the bottom. If there is give this a dry with the hairdryer too and try the machine again. Let me know how you get on. - Ps just because the pump propeller is turning doesn’t mean the pump is not faulty. 👍

You might possibly have a blockage in the sump hose, The black hose leading from the drum to the pump housing

Then turn the machine off. Turn it back on and select spin Cycle , Is the water leaving the drum when you look in?

The filter ? Chances are there is an object stopping it turning any further. Could you get a grips / Pliers to it to give you the extra bit of pressure. Be firm but careful and with patience it will come out. 👍
