This makes me cry. Had one for over 20 years, kept it clean and well maintained by local vac guy. Saw a newer "wind tunnel" model at donation store for $15. Since Elite parts/bags were getting more difficult to find and I figured it would not last much longer anyway, I bought the wind tunnel. Checking it out at the store, I figured out WHY it was donated...probably did not work well. WHY??? NOTHING had been ever cleaned! The bag was so full of dirt, it was a solid, packed BLOCK! The filters were black! Cleaned it all out, replaced filters and it worked perfectly...except....It is very heavy, difficult to maneuver, short/attached hose that means you are moving the vac constantly (Elite had a separate hose for attachments that you plug in.) Power cord comes out the bottom...pain in the #@*$. Suction sucks! I miss my Elite Supreme so much.

Do you have or know where to find a 20 blade fan, I have looked everywhere, nobody has them. I have the Hoover Dirt Finder, about 1996 model, turned on the other day and extremely loud, fan had cracks and worn down blades. Still works great other than that.

I would guess eBay, even if you end up finding the original 7 blade fan.

Grayson Reichert they did make 2 good Chinese made hoover vacuums, the elite rewind UH40070, and the widepath preferred u5018.

If you do sell the self propelled anniversary windtunnel, get older self propelled because they are better built just look on ebay

Just try it one day and see if it runs, at best case, it probably just needs a new fan impeller since the old one might be broken and allowing air to get into the motor, if not, then the motor bearings might need to be oiled.
