Wow. Thank you so much for this information. Followed your directions and now my Hoover is working like brand new. Kept me from ordering a new one.

Thank you very much for this video. Got to the water release hole with little difficulty and it didn't appeared plugged at exit point. I saw water in the tube so I used a can of compressed air to blow out the tube back towards the water source. Must have been a small blockage or an air pocket stopping the flow of water. Put it all back together and it works like new. Again, thank you for your very informative video.

I had the same issue and this video identified the exact issue. If you leave water with solution in the tank, it will solidify in the tube. Run a cup of clean water in the tank when your finished washing and it will flush any solution in the tube.

Take the tanks off if they have water in them. Take the front cover off of the vacuum. It lifts off from the tab in the center. Press the green tabs and release the scrubber brushes. Tip the machine on its side. Get a flat tip screwdriver and pry softly up on the short gray plastic bar and then take off the flat gray plastic part with the springs on it. Get a 3/32nd inch drill bit. Drill out the hole where the water comes out. It shows where it in the video. The hole needed to be bigger from the factory. Dont drill too deep. You can see how far you go since the plastic is clear. Once it is drilled out, put the flat plastic part lining up the springs, and the green tabs that release the scrubber head and press it up. Then put the gray plastic bar snapped back into place. Make sure the long part of the bar is lining up with the other bar going from front to back. It does something when the bar is pressed. Once together, install the brushes, front cover. Add water to the tank and try it. It should have fixed it.

I want to remove the cover over the nozzle but won't budge. I see videos where they pull up on the center and it pops right off. do you know what the trick is?

On your Hoover FloorMate video do you happen to still have pictures from when you opened the whole thing? Forgot to take pictures for reassembly when I had to remove wiring from mine. 😬

Hey There, Unfortunately I don't

It’s pretty easy to put back together it only goes back together one way. Take a look at the tabs and pay close attention and you’ll be able to figure it out.

Was very happy to see your video. Hope it fixes my problem, too. Any advice about how to get the black piece under the brushes off to get at the hole?

Your welcome. To be honest I don't recall and wished I would have videod the test down. I think there were some snaps once all screws were removed.

Everything just snaps off no need to remove screws. I used dollar tree pipe cleaners to clean the tube when I plan to use it at a week or two later to prevent build up.

@@davidarmstrong1421 can you explain how you got it apart without removing any screws please?
@jn2689 Жыл бұрын
@@lisabilinski1929 Gently pry up gently with a flat-head screw driver where the two black plastic tabs are in the slots and they will snap out. When done, line up the springs and snap the plastic tabs back in the slots. Just make sure you have the rear tabs of that piece in place before you snap the front tabs in. It takes a bit of pressure to snap the tabs on the front back in, but the rear tabs just slip in.

How did you get it apart to that part?
@ryan4freedom4 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I don't recall exactly. Many parts were snap together after any screws were out.
@davidarmstrong14214 жыл бұрын
Patrick actually you don’t have to remove the screws at all and like you said it just comes apart by unsnapping then snapping it back together. I just got my floormate and used it like 5 days in row and now that my tile and wood floors are sparkling to my satisfaction I’m going back to a weekly schedule of floor cleaning so I decided to use dollar tree pipe cleaners to gently clean the solution tube so stuff doesn’t get dried on in there to avoid this issue.
