Thanks so much for your great detailed review, it answered a lot of questions websites weren't making clear.👍 And thanks for mentioning about buying direct from the manufacture, I wouldn't of thought they'd have any saving deals at all. I saw the deal you mentioned on this one and then found to my surprise I could upgrade for free to the HL5 for the same price. I'm shocked they would offer such a huge discount. It has a few different small features... probably not worth paying that much extra for, which might be why they are lowering the price for a short while. I just ordered in time, as the offer ends midnight tomorrow. Sorry to hear you missed out on the discount.😕That's what usually happens to me. I'm looking forward to delivery day!

Great video and explanation. I got my new Hoover Pet HL4 today from amazon at the £139 price - free delivery and free return. I will not be sending it back as I am very pleased with it's performance. It sucked up 3 fills of dust from downstairs; carpet, deep pile rug, thinner carpet on minimum suction, hard floor (and even beside the loo!) I feel ashamed at how poorly my previous cylinder machine must have been performing so it was definitely time to upgrade. After consideration and checking out Which recommendations this was one of theirs for upright machines. I hadn't considered buying direct from Hoover and might have been attracted to the car kit, however I'm sure I can do whatever cleaning I need to with the crevice attachment. I did pick up a couple of hints about use so thank you

Current vacuum conked out. Need one that performs well on carpet, but is compact and agile enough for a small flat. This looks like it fits the bill nicely.

Hi, We're still very pleased with it. I was initially in favour of just getting another VAX but I think we made the right decision in going for the Hoover. It's lighter, easier to handle but still cleans very well. Cheers, Chris
