I have one observation that raises questions for me. You talk about requiring a very heavy duty and thorough vacuuming of the carpet first. That's fairly normal I believe, BUT when you mention that if shampooing an improperly vacuumed rug it will create mud which apparently is something this rug shampooer would have great difficulty with. That doesn't add up for me. The shampooer creates the mud problem but is UNABLE to clean a mud stained carpet. I think you've just sold me on RMA this back to Amazon. After watching a related (and very convincing related video called "Why you should NOT buy the MaxExtract Pro" I think I have all the info I needed. thanks.

instead of the sink cleaning, and sand in your sink, because you don't want to show dumping in the toilet, you could use a five gallon bucket and dump it in there, and after the video, dump it in the toilet.
