The newer models have a latch so u can remove and rinse tank. How do I get the old model clean. It does not just rinse out

It's easy to show how to clean an empty, brand new water tank. Clean your carpet, then make a video trying to get the residue out that's stuck to the sides!!

Does the dirty water tank supposed to have a latch to open? Ours only has the hole to empty out but manual shows a latch.

How do we clean the inside of the tank. I let someone borrow mine and now it seems the inside of the tank has some stains I can’t remove by just rinsing it 😩

The problem is that on some models the tank canot be cleaned as in the instructions it says the top can come off to clean within. well...on som emodels its clipped in and you cannot unclip as th manual says. Its permanent so you have to keep sloshing water in the tank and exit the debris out the orange drain. I think the more expensive models can remove the top waste tank but the cheaper ones are affixed permanetly unless you break the tabs within if you look closely.

There MUST be a way to remove the lid, it is hard to believe that the designer would overengineer the top this much if it meant to be non-removable. But again...TNT, C4 instead of a simple latch? I will call Hoover and update the comment if they say anything useful. Otherwise, I will return it since it is brand new and does not work as shown in the manual. Is IDIOTIC design an acceptable word nowadays? Yes, I am teed of big time!

I just set mine up today. I’m trying to clean some chairs. The hose is not dispensing any water. I tried calling customer support and it says I’ve called after hours. Which by the way, I did not. Then I tried chatting with customer support and they won’t transfer me to a live agent. Hoover customer service is the worst! I have a new steam cleaner I can’t use! They don’t want me to return it to the store either. What am I supposed to do?

We got our cleaner out to use it this morning and the dirty water tank won't snap into place. It's like it doesn't fit. It worked perfectly fine the last time I used it. Don't know what the heck to do.

I'm thinking about filing a complaint with the consumer protection agency . We can't let these people sell us garbage and walk away. I purchased my cleaner 5 weeks ago and only used on a single rug and it doesn't work.

I took it all apart like this and cleaned it. After putting it back together it's now Making a strange noise and stopped sectioning water up. Also has a bit of burnt smell

@@indymodfly and @Mandy Ault I'm googling around and finding some not-great info on how water gets in the motor and starts rusting it until it eventually has to be replaced. I'm still getting suction an the belt is turning, but the smell and noise are there. Boo! Mine's two years old, but that's still too fast for them to wear out!

I'm also searching for s "hack" to remove interior residue that can't be reached with a direct stream of water. Ive tried various sizes of handled cleaning brushes, but the design of the tank makes it impossible to reach the "curvy" corners.

@@teeare2367 apartly there is a newer version- the tank lid lifts off & the brush area cover pull forward to clean so you don’t have to remove the assembly by unscrewing. Not sure why these 2 issues were not addressed when the first one was going thru testing

There's a little "lip" on the left side that I don't understand how to allow the face plate to screw in flush. I don't know how to explain it. I wish there was someone that I could talk to or if I could upload a video to show what I'm talking about. I miss the days of customer service.

How does the rubber go back on the red filter basket? I’m not sure how but it popped off and now the water is not going into tank. I checked the suction at nozzle and it’s fine . No debri on apparatus. 😮

I've had my powerdash a month. I tried it out on a runner, only using a half tank of water. That's one gallon of water. I cleaned it and today I went to use again. The brush roller is not spinning now. I've had it a 5 weeks and when I tried to submit a return it was rejected. What am I missing? Is this a common thing?

My power dash pets starts leaking the clean water the minute I put it on the vacuum cleaner even before I press anything. I have to be fast and pass it over the carpet and also remove the clean water tank while I work on a section of the carpet or I lose all the water almost immediately. It's only the third time I use it. It's easy to use otherwise but I doubt I will ever buy another Hoover cleaner. My neighbor bought one at the same time as I did. She had the same problem. She used it more often and finally it stopped working on her. She replaced with another small competitor cleaner and has no problems whatsoever. I hope you do something to correct this problem or you will be losing a lot of potential future sales. Can you please tell me what I can do with this water leaking problem in the meantime. Thank you.

Rubbish carpet cleaner. In the UK, this is branded at a Vax Compact Power. Ours sounded rough after ONE use, it’s become so bad, you can literally hear it from outside our house. Also, it’s a pain to clean, the tool provided is useless. I wouldn’t recommend one of these, as ours now sounds awful and smells of burning after one use.
