HOOVER Streamline - Can it do what Hoover claims?

I'm at Walmart and they have them on clearance for $80. I read a bunch of reviews and your video sold me. For something good that'll get the job done, $80 sounds great.

I just bought this, it arrived today and so far i am in love with it. It did exactly what i wanted it to do as i now have a nice clean bathroom floor with little effort and i didn't break the bank (or my back) to get it. Mine is a little different than the one shown here as it has a button next to the power button for "boost" in which you are supposed to use if you have a stubborn dirt spot.

Hi! That's great to hear! If you can, share if the boost helped and if there is a model number on the unit. The corded wet dry Vacs should be more reliable than battery units.

Well now the brush is full of milk, this mean you need to make a small spot, the take all out to clean the brush? Or you keep doing the floor and they keep cleaning with out spread the milk left in the brush? Help me pick a good vacuum

It seems like the floor is really wet! I would think I’d this is meant for hardwood floors it would be quick drying and less saturated like the Bona Mop.

I bought this for $79 on clearance at Wal-Mart. The first time I used it, it worked great. I got my whole house done in 45 minutes, only having to empty the tank twice. Then I did the self-clean cycle on it, took the brush off, filter out & the tank out to let them air dry for 24 hours. I went back 48 hours later and put everything back in, put more water/Hoover cleaning solution in. I began mopping the kitchen/dining room & went over that pretty good then began on the living room after emptying the tank (got the symbol the tank was full, and it was). I put the tank back in after emptying it. I still had 1/2 container of solution and water since I “deep cleaned” the kitchen/dining room floor. After beginning on the living room, I made one “pass” & then the machine shut off, began flashing “tank full” light & wouldn’t continue mopping. I went in, dried the inside where the tank meets the machine & started it again. Same error message. Then I tried doing a “self clean” cycle. It wouldn’t do that because of the same error message. I have read online and that seems to be a very common issue with this. Hoover needs to do a recall on this & give people their money back. I’m returning my Streamline tomorrow. I hate that it doesn’t work anymore because I was hooked on it from the first minute of use. I love the concept of the mopping & vacuuming, but world-famous Hoover failed at this one. I’m so disappointed now.

Hi! Thanks for sharing your experience and $79 , I would have grabbed it too. With that said, you are lucky you can return it to Wal-Mart. Getting customer support from Hoover took me days and I had to fight to not be charged return shipping on previous hoover units that had issues.

Yes, I’m glad I can return it to WM. It sounds like Hoover’s customer service is definitely lacking. Hopefully they’ll get it together. They’ve been in business too long to turn out bad products.

I am looking for a quiet machine that works on carpet as well. Do you have a recommendation ? I will be using on LARGE areas so compact BRUSH/MOP area is NOT IDEAL. Thank you.

I am having an issue with mine. I have bought and exchanged for another. It make me think it has to be a user error. As soon as I engage the trigger and try to vacuum it begins to blink and say the dirty water tank is full. There is nothing in it! And the roller stops. I can’t do anything.

Hi! The dirty water tank sensor is basically a float inside the dirty water tank that triggers when it's past the max fill line. Can you try taking out the tank and cleaning it? Maybe something is clogged there

@@TheFrenchGlow I have rinsed it out, I just bought it yesterday and it’s been empty the whole time. I haven’t been able to use it for more than 5 minutes. I returned the first one thinking that had an issue but this new one is doing the same thing. Is the red part supposed to stay low or up high?

I JUST bought mine and I am having the exact same issue. Empty tank, brand new, says tank full after two pushes, stops working and light begins to flash

@@uz2bshya30 yes!! Same here. And I returned the first one, thinking it was broken. Exchanged it for another and it is happening again. I’m wondering if there is a problem with the product overall or is there something I’m doing wrong. I am curious, it’s one the roller is really wet, maybe it’s over saturated or it’s messing with a sensor? I called Hoover and it took them until end of business day to call back, and I missed it. I also got an email asking for more information. Like very detailed product info. I wonder if it will be recalled. But have yet to have anyone help me solve the problem

Hi! Hoover priced the Streamline at $299 which is at the mid range premium wet dry vacs. If you are looking for corded, I have seen the Shark Hydrovac Corded on sale around $199-229. Its has the open front design so can still do edges well. Cordless opens up more possibilities but also the potential for issues with the battery in the future.

Hi! You will need to run self clean twice as the cycle is relatively short compared to other wet dry vacs.

This is absolutely the US model bought from hoover.com and comes with 2 modes. Boost mode does not make much of a difference and does not help in clean ups. For stubborn messes switch to BOOST mode using the + button on the handle.

DO NOT get the cordless version of this cleaner. The charging base is very badly designed and the charge points will corrode in no time, taking away the ability to charge and clean too.

Hi! Some units are better than others for drying.
