This video was really helpful. I was ready to throw my wind tunnel in the garbage. Unclogged the hose, took apart the bottom, cleaned it up, cleaned the filters and order some new ones. It’s like brand new and works amazingly! Thanks for posting!

We had one of these growing up I hated emptying the bin on it and knocking the filter inside of the trash can to get all the shit off it. Such a pain in the ass. My parents bought this one to replace a Panasonic jetflo which was a far superior machine. Good vid man, I see these from time to time at the curb and usually just leave them

I remember when I was very little my parents had a TurboPower 7100 (WindTunnel Bagless) that they bought in the maytag store. That vacuum got me in to appliances. Childhood vac for me.

I am enjoying my older Hoover vacuums that I have. One is from the late 20s one is from the late 40s early 50s another one from the early 50s and another one from the early 70s And yes they all still run and function under their own power to this very day.

These may be a messy machine to service, but once you have new filters, belt, and a brushroller, they perform extremely well for being a bagless vacuum. This is one of the only bagless vacuums that I even like. I feel like the so called windtunnel technology actually does work, but it does collect dirt in that area quite often. I still couldn’t believe how heavy these machines are. It might be as heavy as the self propelled version.

I loved using it too but it was really tiring especially after school.... and bc of the poor suctioning thru the power tools, it jacked up my shoulder trying to clean my couch full of dog hair

I’ve always thought 💭 Hoover made good products especially the older vacuums. It seems they had style & function. With different colors, designs and features they offered on each machine.

No it still leaks air before it even gets into that chamber. You get this machine for collector reasons now not to daily drive. This video is old enough it was different at that time.

I used to have a WindTunnel Bagless. Picked up well, but it was very messy to empty and clean the filter. Once I bought a Dyson, I gave the WindTunnel to a friend of mine. The Dyson was way better for me.

i have maytag version. as much as i know im the only person to own it. its a uk machine and you can find a review on it on my channel and it in action i do agree the filter system is bad but its still one of my favourite vacuums probably also my rarest since im probably the only collector to own one

i never had major problems with our twin chamber it still working like brand new the only problem we had was when the belt burned up an that was it filter was fairly cleaned after every empty

I bought my filters through your links! They sure are a lot less than when new. FWIW when these came out, they ranked very well in Consumer Reports testing. Those guys usually did emissions testing of the exhausts. So maybe against the vacuums of the day they were above average. Maybe it's just that the seals are no longer soft and there is more leakage? Anyway, I have always been happy with the job it does on carpets.
@PerformanceReviews4 жыл бұрын
Thanks you! Consumer reports did not test with a particle counter back in the day. We've learned so much about vacuum cleaner since that thing was made. I have to agree when the filters and belt are fresh ,it cleans pretty darn well.

Is it just me or does Hoover seem to have the most clever, classic, and odd designs of all vacuums? I find this machine odd due to the twin chambers, but I’ve never tested it, so I couldn’t say so good it is.

i have the soft gaurd elite pre wind tunnel it sucks and agitates great but you need to stuff it with dryer sheets because of the lack luster filter design.

Omg we had one because Lowes didn't have the Supreme in stock. I could vacuum one room and it would lose enough suction to stop it from sucking down on the carpet. Every 15 minutes it had to get emptied and we hated it. One filter = 30 days in my house. Nah.

I've always found that most cheap plastic vacuums generated too much static charge, I worked in a motel and would typically use a sanitaire over the cheaper plastic vacuums mostly cause everything stuck to the plastic, dust and debris, and had to wipe the vacuum down more then the old beast.

+marcs57 it's not in my country yet. But the way it was presented to us the preview from Miele is that it would be a way to get people into bagged vacuums. So think of it as miele's "gateway drug".

I am about to toss one. Must be one of the last models made. Date code is H12. Still works fine, but I hate cleaning the tank. Air flow doesn't match the Kirby, even though it weighs as much. Just realized after watching this that it leaks as much dirt as it sucks. Was in a second home, but no longer. Trash!

In my eyes, Hoover still makes junk. Back around 2008, my dad bought my mom a Hoover windtunnel canister and after about a few months, it was going bad. Just goes to prove that a lot of these manufacturers can't make good vacuums anymore
@Cleaning_Hero2 жыл бұрын
They can, but they won’t. They make more money by sourcing cheaper parts from China and having their manufacturing done in China. China has some of the cheapest options for parts, design, manufacturing and even engineering.
