We’ve bought newer ones but had a very similar model to that for years and it’s still running great except for the power switch finally went out last weekend so you just have to use the cord as an on off . I couldn’t find a replacement switch for that exact model but I was able to find a small flip switch that I may try to put install.

They should have some replacements on eBay. I think even one for a Hoover Widepath Tempo will also work.

Absolutely, this model is quite a rare gem with the translucent blue and the electronic bag check indicator.

i inherited an old wind tunnel i cleaned the filters it works well until i replace the filter bag door. it has a lot a drag to it with the door on

Sounds like you may have a clog somewhere in the hose.

@@jameswood4303 Yes, there should be a plastic rod on the top of the head that slides side to side to adjust it.

There is no clog. Someone said the mechanism that raises and lowers the height adjustment isn’t working. Can that be repaired

Now that's an extremely uncommon windtunnel, and if you compare the translucent blue Supreme model, you can barely tell the differences other than the obvious deluxe logo and if the Blue Supreme had the electronic performance indicator. The most rarest windtunnel I know of is the Windtunnel Widepath LS, which is basically a Windtunnel limited but in a translucent light green color and has a 15 inch nozzle.

I got one of these for free in 2018 - although mine is red and does not have an electronic bag indicator. It is loud like yours and produces a fair amount of heat. Not only is it remarkably powerful, the previous owner still had the manual and ALL the toys & attachments, a *long* hose, a stair attachment (which I tried to use but it was not too impressive), extra bags, etc. My new apartment is ALL wood floors. On my Windtunnel model, I *cannot* turn off the agitator (brush roll). Is it safe/okay to just take the belt off? What about removing the agitator entirely? I can put it all back together later if I move back to a place with carpet. Your reply is appreciated! Thank you.

UPDATE 1 - Well, I took the belt and the brush out and now there is NO SUCTION at all at the base ... even though there is still a breathtaking amount with the attachments. Either the lower suction depends on the brush to 'activate' or there is a clog that's been there all along (I hope not). 🤷🏻‍♂️ I guess I'll reassemble it all and find out. {*sigh*} MOO.

UPDATE 2 - Scratch that ... it's fine. I have proven the lower suction (at the lower hole/port behind the agitator/brush) is very strong. I guess the suction is just "spread out" and not that impressive. If I had the longer tube, I'd just use the upper super suction ... but that's the only part I'm missing! I guess I can order two of those cheaply (I'll measure first). Maybe for it to be most effective - even on a wood floor - this model needs the brush.

UPDATE 3 - Well, I ordered replacement wand tubes (this hand-me-down vac came with none). Hopefully, that will sort my issues. I will hoover my wood floors using the accessory super suction and attachments (and never use the base/main vacuum, even though it’s an upright). We make do. We’re spunky on this island. We totter on. I am removing the agitator brush & belt again though to limit the noise and heat (radically quieter and cooler with the same accessories suction).

The Hoover wide path tempo brush roll works better in it it Grooms the carpet a lot better

A VERY welcome change TTI did was get ride of all the the open or shielded bearing in the brush rolls and in the idler pulley.

@Grayson Reichert fun fact: the beach house my family rented out one year had a translucent red version of that vac except no bag check on the headlight. just on the bag door. i think you've seen that one before
