Hoover Fellow, John Cogan, details how interest payments on federal debt alone will account for 40% of personal income tax revenues in only the 10 years, leaving the United States unable to fully fund our national defense and fulfill its social safety net obligations.

If you're against debt, shouldn't you be for the taxes required to pay it back? This state of being permanently indebted to creditors seems to work pretty well for the creditors! It's also coincidental with a state of high income inequality and low social mobility. I'm all for unwinding the debt, but I think the conversation about where the political opposition to this is coming from is misleading.

To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction, noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, reformed, corrected, punished, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865)

We need to send less money overseas and increase tarrifs on imports

American consumers pay the tariff on imports. As for the money going overseas your mistaken too. The oath America took in the early 90's to support Ukraine has no cash being sent there. All military aid is paid to Americans in America. Ukraine sent the nukes to Russia in exchange for security. Apparently they were mistaken when Americans said they could rely on them. And to think it's .04 cents. I wonder how much you sent that fat felon to pay for lawyers?
