Recorded on March 5, 2019.
Freshman members of Congress senator Josh Hawley and representative Michael Waltz talk about their recent experiences working in Congress and their desire to push for less politics and more accomplishments that will help strengthen the United States. The two congressmen discuss why they chose to dedicate their lives to serving the American people and how they are asking tough questions and bringing fresh ideas to jump-start a stagnant government.
Hawley and Waltz discuss their goals for their first terms in Congress and how they want to streamline the federal budget, fight for the working people, and serve their constituents by honoring the ideas and ideals in the US Constitution. Peter Robinson leads their discussion of addressing and resolving problems with special interest groups, an inefficient polarized Congress, President Trump’s national-emergency declaration regarding the border wall, and his goal to pull the troops out of Syria and Afghanistan.

Loved the interaction and their hearts but could someone please, please, please explain to this Green Beret that rather than defending this "democracy" he may want to stop doing that and start defending our Republic. Hard to believe how SO many educated people regularly make this mistake and they obviously believe it makes no difference. I repeat, this country is a "Republic" "if you can keep it" (quote from Ben Franklin after it was decided.)

I would undoubtedly vote for either of these guys given the alternatives and I like much of what they say... But I can't help but notice how stiff, prim, proper and scripted they come across. I honestly thought to myself, "I would rather see men like Donald Trump, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams or even Peter Robinson in these positions of power." It's a personality, energy and charisma thing. We need more Old-School and less robotic.

Hawley is a career politician/attorney and Waltz belongs to a prestigious group of warriors. How else should they act? I rather our representatives behave truthfully. They shouldn't put on a show to win votes. Washington isn't Hollywood. Hawley and Waltz repeatedly discussed during this interview.

Josh let me tell you you need to do something about the communications decency act based upon slander and defamation it should never be about politics it’s never be about political issues it should be about slander and defamation and who is capitalizing after they host slander and defamation and what kind of money are they making. Talk about the businesses that are being defined on a daily basis and nobody is verifying if anything is true or false that gets posted about businesses. Josh which review site in 20 and17 made $846 million posting positive and negative reviews ? I’m not here to slander anybody or any website but when somebody gets a negative review post about them and they cannot protect their reputation and get the court to remove something that is obviously slander or defamation something is wrong. Communications decency act section 230 protects the review sites that host the slander and defamation the small businesses and the large businesses do not have the capital set aside to hire legal counsel to try to get this negative stuff removed off her review sites and given the fact the communications decency act section 230 protects the review sites it’s almost impossible to get anything removed that’s not true or that is slander or defamation
