A buddy of mine buys old beaters and fixes them up with one of his grandkids, sometimes selling them to fund project cars. He had a 2000 Explorer that he couldn't seem to sell but got a call from a guy who said he had a 2006 Pontiac GTO that he wanted to trade for it. Hmmmm, that's something like a $20k car but if that's what the guy wants... So the guy shows up with the 'GTO' which turns out to be a grocery-getter Grand Am. Guy swears it has a V-8 that was swapped into it. Buddy pops the hood and it's a run-of-the-mill 3.4 V-6. They trade anyway since the Exploder wasn't moving and the Grand Am is a bit nicer. We talk about it and chuckle about his 'GTO.'

​​@@brettconv83it's not a substitute for therapy in any viable way. Many IRL therapists will charge on a sliding scale and call and text you in addition to meeting in person. Therefore why would you need a sketchy service in the first place? Source is first hand experience with IRL therapy (haven't used better help but reviews are not usually good)

If you ever buy a car from Carmax, you will be paying on the top end of the used book value; always. You have 30 days to report any issues with the vehicle, and they will repair it a ZERO costs. ANY issues. You can nitpick it to where you get a fantastic vehicle, if you understand what you are doing. New trans, new 4X4 transfer case, all bushing replacement on front end, on a 10k dollar truck 10 years ago. It now belongs to my kid and still runs great without any issues other than normal crap.

I used to watch Hoovie's Garage all the time... He's a charismatic, and likeable dude. But after a while, the format got reeeeeallly boring, and Tyler just got more and more annoying - almost like a parody of himself. Then he bought too many cars, and started shilling annoying adverts, so I unsubbed.. Might check him out again though, as it's been a while. Maybe he has done something new. Probably not. He was the most interesting channel in what became the Kansas circle-jerk.
