From LA Yes Julian sounds like his father BUT yes.BUT Julian's music is not His music is heartfelt. In Valot even though the song is about hurt and pain there is love in the under tone you can hear not at all like his father full vindictiveness in a lot of his solo work Julian's work is more like Mccartney,s. music Like "Hope.For the future". Julian's orchestrations is sheer magic. Thanks to all involved in this video. My group had the privilege of helping to record the background vocals and video for the song while we visited Kesennuma. Beyond Tomorrow is an amazing program, doing great work with young people who have suffered unimaginable loss. As someone who works with young people(in an unrelated agency), I was floored by the work that the Beyond Tomorrow staff are doing with these incredible young people. These are kids that should be invested in. Support them!

There are aspects of the culture of the people of Japan that allow them to rise to the highest levels of their humanity in the very worst of disasters both manmade and natural alike. If we ever were to lose touch with who we truly are and the love and beauty within we have their shining example of compassion, gentleness, and selfless service to look to for that grateful reminder. I’m very touched that all of you involved in the making of this musical tribute chose to raise awareness for those members of our earth family in their time of great need! I wish those in turmoil in other parts of the world could experience the true relief and peace I’ve felt when I’ve visited the country. I’m from a place most people consider paradise in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and the aloha spirit is pretty great here still, but I never expected to be so positively overwhelmed by the level of thoughtfulness and consideration the Japanese people had for one another! The enthusiasm they had for carrying out the most mundane and ambitious endeavors alike. There was no in between. So I could believe the reporters covering the Fukushima disaster when they marveled at the noticeable absence of looting, rioting, and chaos that typically followed other disasters. The elderly, disabled, or most disadvantaged were pushed up ahead in long lines of people waiting for basic supplies... they shared in their collective pain to help ease it instead of competing for sympathies or wallowing in self pity. Seems only fitting that this beautiful music would express their true heart and status.

Beautiful tune. I especially loved the part about the pine tree as 'One great hope' - pines have always been special to me ever since I was a little girl - and I loved the precious smiling faces of the little girls... I'm so glad they are finding a sense of hope for the future again and some daily normalcy. God bless them all and for all of you who contributed to the making of this video for their good.
