While in my early twenties I spent about two years as a field assistant studying these fish in part of the Greater Yellowstone system. I was also a fly fisherman so got to study myself fishing and get paid for it. Pretty sweet gig. I am now in my late 60's. Your film brought back the joy of living and working in this area and doing something I loved. Thank you for that.

Fly fishing to me brings back the quiet still moments in my life that is very few and very far between. Between the 25 years I served in the AIR FORCE and the years after serving patients in the hospital those times I spent in the woods alone with my dog and catching those trout gives me the sense of connecting to nature that I truly loved.

You should be very proud of what you have created, you have a very unique talent in the way you shot the scenes and edited your film. I enjoyed the way you injected short lesser pixelated scenes of each other smiling and presenting your trophies. It reminded me of old home videos and photos of past friendships and trips taken. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face.

I’m 53 years old, and I fished a lot growing up and as a young adult. Like 200 days a year. I had kids, showed them fishing and they were not interested. Recently my youngest son has been bitten by the bug and it’s been great showing him some thins. It’s inspiring watching young (ish) folks figure out that it’s alright to be outside and get dirty and drag your camera gear around. It gives me hope as I often feel the generations below me are doomed because they didn’t live the way I lived. Y’all have got the right idea. It’s not the same, as it never will be with the cellphone but it’s as close. All the important elements are there, and it’s more interesting than bill dance

I’ve been fly fishing since 1975. Back then I could never have imagined I would someday watch people fly fish on TV in far away places that I’d love to go someday. I wouldn’t even have imagined watching people fish around close to home on TV. Time surely has changed things. I’ve watched your videos for a long time. I fly to California in June to fish the golden trout wilderness with my son. A trip of a lifetime for me. I hope to meet you on the water somewhere someday.
