2 mates n i watched wildfly movie here in Australia n now we r watching it again now on YT. the 3 of us agreed its like a gud port resting, the taste gets better as time goes on. u c the littlest things missed or said the first time because u r taken by the first experience thats in front of u. the movie brings the landscape story fish right into u n theres a sensory overload u r trying to keep up with. guys the second time is a gud resting port. thx so much.

I came for the trout and fell in love with the camper/tundra combo. Did you lower the tire pressure at all during those muddy parts for better traction?

I only run like 8 patterns all year up here. For summertime subsurface im loaded up on Pats rubber legs and perdigons. For dries, I'd have chubbyChernobyls ranging in size and color (mainly gold and purple), a few ants/beetles, and elk hair caddis.

Hey Scotty. Love your stuff. Caught the Montana Wild shirt. Miss their stuff. They brought the Warren Miller cinematography to the fly fishing world. Thank you for what you bring to us. Gotta say, expedition fly fish mode, on. Bringing me back to what I’ve seemed to drifted from. Minus the camera. Keep it up buddy. If you’re ever back in the valley from the first short bus diaries hit me up. I’ve got places and been rafting/self guiding friends for 15 years. I hit the Skwalla hatch south of Missoula two weeks ago and it was epic. 18 fish in 1.5 days all 16-20+. Gotta hit the weather right and know where to go. Again, thanks.

I’m 53 years old, and I fished a lot growing up and as a young adult. Like 200 days a year. I had kids, showed them fishing and they were not interested. Recently my youngest son has been bitten by the bug and it’s been great showing him some thins. It’s inspiring watching young (ish) folks figure out that it’s alright to be outside and get dirty and drag your camera gear around. It gives me hope as I often feel the generations below me are doomed because they didn’t live the way I lived. Y’all have got the right idea. It’s not the same, as it never will be with the cellphone but it’s as close. All the important elements are there, and it’s more interesting than bill dance

@TightLoops2 күн бұрын
Hey I get it! Sometimes you make do with what you got. But consider this as well: trout aren't meant to be everywhere. I bet if you're in a place that can only sustain stocked trout, you've probably got other native gamefish that are fun as heck to catch. Bass, sunfish, perch etc. Trout fishing isn't the end all be all, and sometimes catching a wild native species means you've got to take a trip. I wouldn't be too worried or bummed that you don't have wild native trout in your neck of the woods any more than I would that you don't have bonefish, or golden durado or fill-in-the-blank!
