just wanted to say I really love your videos. I have always loved the idea of ordinary men and women taking on all the horrifying fantasy monsters. It is one of the reasons I like Imperial guard in 40K.

I started reading lady of sorrows recently and I gotta say the Reclaimed of Shyish are so interesting. The book dose a lot of compare and contrast between the reclaimed and the settelers from azyr. The reclaimed are seen as overly superstisious and creepy but to the reclaimed all their superstision is practical, like some of their habits are just for comfirt but others serve actual purposes ment to ward off the undead, like keeping a bloom in your glove or shoe on the right side to ward off the nighthaunts, they later shoot nighthaunts with arrows made from that bloom and it disipates them almost instantly. If you are a reclaimed you have rituals and cultures designed to help you survive, some of the supersition is just that but you know, Better safe than sorry

I love how before AoS there was Age of Chaos, where...well..they won, almost. Since then it's all reclaiming, not conquering

I heard some other channel say that it's basically a cycle where chaos eventually destroys a past world and a new one is made. Even in the old world fantasy there's hints of it like lizardmen speaking about the old ones plan. Khane and someone else (I can't remember who exactly) being a survivor of one of those past worlds. They're now passed the age of myth where Gods (sigmar and friends survivors of the past world) tame the land and battle God beasts. Are past the age where they settled and enlightened the people. Age of chaos was basically the end times in Age of Sigmar except this time they held out by shutting off access to planes of existence. Age of Sigmar is basically the order Gods trying to stop the cycle from repeating again.

Some great reads regarding the Cities I've liked included novels such as Gloomspite, Spear of Shadows, The silver Shard and Black Pyramid. Also shorter reads like Heart of Winter gives a really unique spin on the darker aspects of the cities.

I can also see the dawn bringer crusades as an high risk high reward thing, if the crusade succeed then the city that lunch it would be a very prosperous from the new city once they establish trade, it can be good if success, honestly I am on bored for it.

Dynasty of Monsters by David Annandale imo has an amazing and fun depiction of a city in ghyr. The details escape me at the moment, but 10/10 reccomemd giving it a read. It touches on the mentality of the people, the divide within the city of rich and poor, how the SCE interact with them. Its a good time

I love your channel for AoS lore. Something about the way you talk about it. Questions: Ever thought of doing long-form? Suggestion: Can the videos in the lore playlist be sorted chronologically or from old to new? It currently starts playing from latest video (this video as of now).

I like how the entirety of the cities of Sigmar were and are devoted to war. To me that’s what I expect from a series called “Warhammer” lol
@kelvinsantiago7061 Жыл бұрын
I have a doubt, How did Sigmar caught the chaos gods unaware? Couldn't Tzeench have predicted the return of Sigmar and prepared? Or build a fortress in front of the Realmgate and waited untill it opened?
@Capoodle4 ай бұрын
To quote the lexicanum wiki: "He (Malerion/Maleketh), Teclis and Tyrion used their powers to obscure Azyr, hiding the creation of the Stormcast Eternals from even Tzeentch himself." This is corroborated on the fandom wiki, and I think the source is one of the rulebooks but I'm having trouble digging further. so please don't ask me follow-up questions.

I gotta say as a long time follower of the channel I am a very disappointed with you not remaking the old lore playlists because at this point most of them are pretty outdated. Many factions got whole new units and lore. In any case this new series looks good.

I hope the Cities don't just devolve into the races pitted against teach other and that air of cooperation continues. It would be boring and tiring for GW to just do the whole constant strife motif for Cities. Show me some unity and cooperation, make them unique from every faction GW has ever made.

Total garbage. GW plotholed themselves into corner, and now needs WFB to bail it out of this nonsense. I blame it on the talentless hacks and cherries they hired to try to fill the void of the great ones they had working for them back in the day. Current writers don't know anything about the lore, so they make it up as they go along...
