I feel this Skaven spearhead needs the Rat Ogres to be able to come back or regen. They die every time they go into anything from all the games I've seen so far and they seem to be the only real damage dealers.

Skaven seem to have a really high skill floor in Spearhead, very easy to get run down if you put a claw out of line. I loved the clanrat shenanigans though, no bravery + respawning is very fun

Yeah they are far too hero heavy and have troops made out of tissue paper. As we saw, a double turn basically annihilates their ability to pull any reinforcement shennanigans. If that warlock engineer was swapped for even like 2 jezzail teams it would be a really solid force.

They seem to suffer badly when the Rat Ogres go down early, and as the previous battle report showed they can be punished pretty badly for missing a nuance of the new rules or not being aware of the opposing force's capabilities.

Closest match I’ve seen with the new skaven spearhead. Every other one they just get tabled so fast.

Yeah, it's quickly becoming clear that the Skaven kind of just suck. Every channel is quickly coming to exactly the same conclusion. Either these SHs were never playtested, or GW deliberately wants them losing, especially to the Stormcast in the box.

The selection of units is just so weird. They should've switched the Grey Seer for the Ratling Warpblaster or The Warplock Jezzails imo. It would've made a more punchy list.

I'm planning to build my own Cities of Sigmar Spearhead using some equal old fantasy models that I have. I just need a couple more of generic knights and body for cannon (I already have a dwarf crew for it too).

@@Strade8 NDA-wise they can - the full cards have been detailed in Goonhammer reviews. Whether they can do the overlay or camera work needed to show them is another question, but I agree showing which cards are being used as they score would be good.

I think Ridge couldn’t bring back all the rats in top of round 4 because you can only bring them back in 0.5” of a model that’s already there. Looked like daisy chaining, but it’s sometimes hard to tell in the quick shots. :D

What are the parameters for skaven holding a unit or units off board at the start of the game? Seems like it might be a good idea for the rat ogres if they are allowed. What are the rules concerning terrain? Do they provide suggested terrain sizes? I want to create terrain specific for the faction I choose to play. I think I have two pieces that will work for my Soulblight Gravelords. I'm still working on ideas for the terrain for my Seraphon force.

The frigate's pretty frightening, but I think horde clearance is a problem with battleshock gone. I suspect there's a good reason Gitz won the Dallas event - large numbers combined with reinforcement are going to be very difficult to clear.

I’m new here, so why no dice tray cam , it feels weird watching some one make a face after a good or bad roll and then say out loud, “that was a good roll” I like the production other then that 😅, just wanted to know the philosophy behind it if there was one

We're a more strategy focused channel, so delve more into the decisions and choices of the players than we do the random elements. Might not translate as much in Spearhead because its a much more random than tactical game, but its a result of our style that comes from full AoS games I suppose!

I have seen some games of spearhead and aos 4.0 on KZbin now. And I feel skaven as a whole feels really underwhelming. Can't remember I have seen them win a game yet. Possibly, stormcast is a high tier army in 4.0 so it might seem worse than it actually is.

@@brib9716 there's only so much time in a day, and we already work overtime to produce the content we do, and I paint almost every night for 2+ hours in addition, across 20 armies there's a lot to keep up with. For us to get more painting done we either need to pay someone else to paint, or pay others to edit videos to free up more time for painting. Either way it's the incredible support of our channel members who drive the channel forwards.

@@SeasonofWar The channel content is great. I just hate the trend I'm seeing lately in lazy, low effort paintjobs like this in the hobby. I can see where you're coming from having to have 24 armies painted. But seeing it on a big channel like this allows people to justify their "Stonecast" or "Shadow Fyreslayers".
