Idk, but I really didn't like all that mix and matching they did in TVD so I eventually dropped it...I'd really like it if here they stepped away from the whole 2 brothers after 1 girl thing(once is already enough) or the high likelihood that eventually either Hope or Landon should fully sacrifice to take the big bad out from the inside(another sort of repeat). I like most of the mains in Legacies and their diverse relationships so far, but imho, Hope matches Landon best and vice-versa, matching Hope up with either one of the twins or Raf would ruin Hope's odds at strong healthy purely platonic relationships with her teenage peers or at least at offerring a good contemporary fictional model of that. That's what Julie Plec should learn from the experiments in TVD that raised some very nasty reactions, as well as from the Dair fiasco in Gossip Girl(that wasn't a project of hers, but I recall it was one of TVD's biggest competitors back in the day) or Clary and Simon going kinda too far in the Mortal Instruments TV Series to make any other twists and turns believable and enjoyable. Too much relationship experimenting can be just as bad as not trying it out and it's valid even in fiction, where it tends to fail at making the characters look liberal, instead making them look a bit too morally loose. Gray areas are fun, smothered-in-fog ones aren't.
