God I hate Legacies creature of the week plot device. Hope was such a good character but damn if the show didn't run the story into the ground by trying to shoehorn everything from liches, dragons, the ferryman, and GODS in. In the original two shows Hope was the pinnacle end all be all tribrid because she had the power, or potential power, of every existing species at its apex with none of their weaknesses. In legacies it makes no sense for her to be the ultimate power house if there literal gods, monsters out of myth, and freaking DRAGONS running around. Its why the concept of the balance of power between the THREE species was such an important plot device in both The Originals and TVD.
