I was a pet groomer for over 35 years and I couldn't tell you how many times I clipped more than a pound of matted hair off of dogs that were owned by a person! Sometimes the dog didn't want to go home with the owner! As a groomer of over 35 years, may I suggest Andis clippers over those noisy Oster clippers. Much quieter and less stressful on the dog.

@@carleenpring3404 I remember the first time I used the Andis clippers. I had been so used to my old Osters that I was really unsure of how the Andis would hold up. I was really surprised. Everyone here trying to be the next dog whisper star. Anyway with Covid 19 and other diseases being passed to and from animals, people need to rethink kissing animals. I never let my pooch lick me nor do I kiss him. I groom him as best I can until I take him to my cousin a groomer, give him the treats and toys he likes best (he is a very picky fella). He sleeps in our room, but he knows he isn't allowed on any of the beds except for his. He was trained that way not only for our well being, but for his own well-being as well.

their skin is so thin and tender, as well, so she would have been suffering a lot over the time that all that weight was pulling on her skin. It took them a long time to be very careful, and they did a wonderful job. I've had to bathe poodles before, their skin is really delicate.
@KENTUCKYUSA14 жыл бұрын
It apparently depends on the particular labradoodle. They are considered low to non-shedders. Those with fleece or wool type coats are non-shedders, those with straight coats shed a little. There are several breeds of canines that do not shed. You can google them if you want a non- allergenic doggo or just a dog that is less trouble to clean up after. I always just keep the stray dogs that wander in to my farm, whether they shed or not.

When I first got my dog, he was my neighbors dog, he was neglected and matted so bad his eyes were matted shut, his leg was matted to his side, and I had trouble finding his tail, which was matted at a bent angle to his side. I was so mad at the neighbors for treating him so badly, but relieved that I was able to talk them in to letting me have him. Which sadly, but thankfully, didn't take much convincing because they did't want him at all anyway. He would go to the bathroom in their house, they never took him outside, and would spend most of his time under their bed. As soon as I got him in my arms, I knew I had his trust. I gave him a hair cut, his eyes were so sad, gave him a warm bath, and cuddled him in my arms until he was dry. Though he didn't give me much of a choice but to hold him, I admit that I didn't want to let him go either. The first time I took him for a walk, all he did was lay flat on the grass. He had no clue. Now, he is still always glued to my side, but trusts more people, and LOVES going for multiple walks a day. I can't imagine someone being so cruel to an animal that looks to us for help. The emotion in their eyes always gets me in these videos. It reminds me of when I first got to see my Cody's eyes, I cry every time. Thanks for all that you do, it means the world to me and many others out here that can't do all that you do. And, I love donating to a cause that I hold so close to my heart. Thanks!

@RaggsNation Thank you very much! I agree! There is nothing that I love more than to know that I am who he goes to when he wants to feel safe. I have no idea what type of person could ever treat any living thing that badly. I'm just happy that I have him now. At first, I didn't even know that they had him in their house. But, their daughter came up to me and said something about him. My heart broke and I knew I had to take him in. I was so lucky that they agreed so easily though. But, as soon as I had him in my arms, he just cuddled right in. I know that he was abused. I was told by their daughter that he was kicked and thrown around, as a puppy, so no wonder why he hid under their bed all the time. But, now, he knows he runs the house and gets spoiled all the time. He truly is a blessing in my life.

People who put their pets through suffering like that should be slammed in cages and forget about them until their heart softened, maybe that way they'll learn something about love for animals .
@rhondah15874 жыл бұрын
Agreed but a lot of them are escapees and just have gotten lost. Without ID they have no way of getting back home or even finding their people again. I have rescued numerous dogs running the streets and only a few of them have had ID. The ones with ID found their very grateful people again and all were overjoyed. Re-homing those without ID can be difficult as good, responsible homes must be found and they aren't always readily available.
@juanrodsalas55724 жыл бұрын
@@rhondah1587 Agreed too just let the cause and effect falls on those who are rally guilty. Now if a pet escape from an owner, there are few motives namely apathy,neglect,abandonment or been careless.
@rhondah15874 жыл бұрын
@@juanrodsalas5572 It is easy to get careless when children are in the home. They leave gates/doors open, etc. The safest thing is to make sure the pet is chipped or at least wears an ID tag.
