This was a fantastic overview to my favourite cartoon of all time ^^ The original Powerpuff Girls series is not only my favourite cartoon of all time but it was the show that made me fell in love with animation in the first place ^^ All the episodes with the girls and the Professor especially their heartwarming moments together really warms my heart and also made me cry with happiness every time ^^ My favourite episodes include Knock It Off, Meet The Beat Alls, Stray Bullet and Silent Treatment ^^ I also seen episodes of the anime and I thought it was pretty cool ^^ Great video as always ^^

I love OG series and the anime one, but it makes me funny how I didn't notice that PPGZ was an anime when I was a child until I was in Junior High School, because that explains a lot why I love magical girl series and transformation sequences cuz they are my first mahou shoujo anime series, (with Winx Club being my first approach to the magical girls' concept). I can also confirm that after spending many years being the nerdy student in the room there comes a time when you just want to have fun and being a fan of fantasy and cute things. I’m still pissed that the live action PPG could’ve took the premise from PPGZ and just make the girls unrelated to each other and the professor and they all got their unique powers, what’s sweeter than a story about a growing sisterhood? Also yeah I absolutely hate Momoko/Z Blossom, its one of the reasons why it was hard to watch. I really don’t think its what the Girls would be like older, and Momoko is incredibly ooc to be Blossom. Blossom being the most underrated of the 3, its no surprise that there’s less hatred towards this change. Had it be Buttercup that loves sweet and is boy crazy (which would be in-character of her since she’s the only one to express any interest in boys) ppgz would’ve get more hate for that.

Lovely video as always! However I do want to mention that, for the see me, feel me, gnomey me, there were two reason as to why it was banned. The first reason was for the flashing lights which caused concerned for seizures. The second reason was actually for the themes of capitalism vs communism not for religious themes. In the episode, the gnome can be seen as an allegory to Lenin and communism (red, roses, the fact that everyone is the “same” and lack individuality (aka a classless society), a worshipped leader,etc.) while the professors song is just a pro-capitalist view. I can do a whole analysis on this.

In HS and in college PPG was one of my all time favorite shows (still is too!) I remember being really excited for the movie, seeing it the week it came out. I even loved the anime (from what I watched.) Even owned the DS game at one time.. Even tho I sold it a while back... To add something as to why the film may have failed.. It all came down to two reasons, the lack of promotion even if they flooded tv with ads a month before release. Also the film was sandwiched between the live action scooby doo, Disney's Tarzan and it was the summer that gave us Spider Man.

I'm late as heck, but I must say I absolutely agree with you about the last seasons of the og ppg I find it to be so bizarre people throw it so much shade, when these seasons are the same that gave the so much needed screentime to a lot of characters. Heck, The Rowdyruff boys, despite being feature in fanarts as much as the ppg themselves, only got 1 single episode in the former seasons, while the latter ones flesh them out better

Honestly for me Bubbles is SO MUCH more likable in Powerpuff girls Z than the original. Bubbles was the fan favorite but I saw her as kind of a brat and spoiled and doesn’t suffer anything bad in the original, but in powerpuff girls Z those bad qualities are lessened. As for the Rowdyruff boys, yeah they are so much more gross in the anime (except for Butch I think….at least I think in the English Dub) but I honestly think they are more funny though, I wish we got more of their humour than gross out though and I am glad that the Rowdyruff boys actually get a win in the anime as they are my favorite villains. Buttercup, I think she has really upgraded too, though I am not a fan of her new hair style compared to the old one. She was already my favorite character, I really like her story of being in a family with only boys which may explain her personality. Honestly I think the girls are more like able in personalities in the anime than the original, at least for me.

It was messed up as a kid and it only gets worse after you become an adult and understand all the innuendos like, questionable work ethics, child exploitations and... dare I say it? Ken's mom appears in the Christmas episode, doesn't she? She was an astronaut. Also, two of the Ganggreen Gang were also now female, but it's dependent on which dub you're watching, Lil Arturo(though he's still male in the English dub) and Snake(but only in the English dub, and is named Ivy).
