Elmo was the instrument of God here, for this poor kid who had a friend that didn't care about him -- not even a thought of him when the man put him in his truck! AND a FATHER who didn't go with his wife to look for the kid until the wife called him to get his reluctant rear end there. Elmo was his ONLY hope -- and it wasn't even his dog.

Yes,no need to praise a person or a dog because it is anyway always God. People can't use their heads and do good things,and neither can dogs. If a person helps a lost child to find his way back home it is no need to thank that kind person as he could not do such a kind act by himself. Or if a dog stays with a lost child wich they tend to do,it is typical for dogs,but never thank the dog,it is only God who stays with that lost person. A dog can't do it. So people,no need to be helpful to others as it is not YOU anyway,as soon as you do something good to another person it is NOT you,it is only God. Did I understand you right?!

Dogs can sense danger, that's why he continued on with Ethan rather than turning back and going with Steven...the dog knew Ethan was in trouble and luckily kept going with him, otherwise this story would have had a much different terrible ending. I really hope the boys learned a huge lesson from all this, if you get lost stop, you'll only get further from where you should be, its far easier to find you if you are lost if you stop and stay put...

Do you ever think that the boy might have recognized the van? I mean seriously somehow the same thing happened with those older kids and I was thinking um that one boy didn't sound so sincere are these neighbors and who in their right mind would not know stranger danger awareness pertains not only to adults but to any kids who can talk. It's pretty clear that the older boys who just came into the yard like that were obviously strangers, but that van was a cable company van that is specific he might have seen people in the area like that man was who work for it or maybe even came to work with his house before.

Steven didn't do well. The dog acted better. When the van stopped, he should have said there was someone else in the bush. It would have been easier to locate the boy then. Then he still didn't say anything to even his mom just went in. Not very good friend

Oh dear, Lord, can't watch, not [an] "exciting" story) at all, like those amazing rescue show stories, one wrong move after another, leading to peril, disasterous This is what happens when kids are dopes, and don't at least stay with their buddy, when lost, & even when going in the water, he didn't think of his friend?? The dumb bad kids stuck together, even went back the right way, what happened there? Possibly the boys were frightened or panicked and tried to get away quickly, not going back past them, But why not try going back at any stage...? (These woods, strange thick witchy woods, they sound like) Plus why didnt the boy mention his friend and the dog, his own dog, or even think of them when he was picked up...is a mystery of itself... Thank God the driver of the van, who the kid got a ride from, at least was a decent person too, sigh of relief there, knowing what kind of types exist in the world Do I really need to see more, this is totally already setting off anxiety bombs

William Sevier Oh yeah, hey & thanks, bud (strealing from Canadian expressions, in Aussie most ppl say mate, but Im not big on that myself, as a greeting at least) Im sure it's probably that, to keep it simple & maybe?? told in a way to make it seem more thrilling or "exciting," as he put it, maybe suspenseful too... (?) But it was a bit much for me at the time, even though I know it usually/often has a happy ending, normally, even if it starts with some tragedy since it's a show about miracles, afterall...! LoL, right!?? But this one I was already baffled about at the the point where the kids separated, and the kid from his dog, which is unusual, but sets it up for someone to be with the kid left behind, and although it didnt make sense @ that part where the kid was picked up by the passer by, and I was like heaps worried (aussie for really or very) in a real way, I guess since you always hear see and read about so much crime, like there were some really bad paedophile ring of murderers of young boys here in Australia many years ago, & then there were those three young boys that went missing and turned up dead (in West Memphis?? Arkansas?) in the US, so that was a relief in itself that he got home ok, & that there are some decent people still in the world. Anyway I know from the comments the dog will be a great help to assist the other boy so I'll probably try to watch the rest... a little less freaked out now, hopefully! Haahaah

Said they tried to call the dog but the dog wouldn't respond unless it was his owners to pick him up. The dog has an idea of what Stranger Danger Awareness is actually and that's incredibly cool even the rescuers were strangers to the dogs and as a dog sitter I also know dogs don't like to be crowded rushed at or pet unless they catch your scent first.
