Actually, most of it was filmed in Philly. Hank went by some of my favorite hang outs in center city, like Logan Circle fountain, the LOVE sign, the Art Museum, coming up the sub steps, City Hall, the Franklin Institute, the BF Parkway, and S. Broad street. But the band is from Lansdale, and I'm pretty sure the house scenes were filmed there.

I met Soupy in June. He's a bit awkward but friendly and even remembered playing a show w my bf years ago. There's interviews here where he talks about not knowing wtf to do after college thus the frustration on The Upsides. This album is about a major breakup from his gf. listen to "Hey Thanks" from Upsides and "Woke Up Older" from Suburbia for proof. I don't think he has depression but he might have anxiety and AP said he only feels fine on stage.

I'm pretty sure he does. He sings about anxiety and panic attacks specifically in multiple songs. I know he is incredibly shy which could also be social anxiety disorder. When I saw them he didn't even come into the venue until right before they went on, and even then he hid in the back room until the band started playing the intro to "Came Out Swinging." Rumor has it he did the same thing last year and this guy I know ran into him and he said Soupy was nice but incredibly socially awkward.

I'm currently watching season one of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and there's kind of a connection of sorts. Most likely just a consequence, though. In episode 4 "Charlie Has Cancer" Mac and Carmen do pretty much the same thing Hank does at the 1:20 scene. Also in the first season Hopeless Records stickers can be seen all throughout the bar.
