I remember finding out about Hopesfall during the Satellite Years. I rushed to the local record store to buy A Types when it came out and put it on replay for months. When I ran to the record store in 2007 for Magnetic North, I drove my girlfriend and friends at the time nuts for playing it on repeat for over a year. I actually got into my first car wreck in 2007 going to see Hopesfall when they came to town before they called it quits the first time. Everyone at the show was there for The Receiving End of Sirens, but me and a buddy were there for Hopesfall who opened.

Even in the monotony of that early 00's hard/metalcore scene, Hopesfall stood out. I can't listen to much screamy stuff these days, but The Satellite Years still gets a listen regularly. Arbiter was a banger of an album, and so is this song.
@gabrielporto.mikrotik Жыл бұрын
This song is one of the reminders for the magic sounds you produce. I remember when I met you guys on pure volume back in 2005 when I discovered The Bending. It was so freaking awesome. And not to mention, you had a tour to Brazil a few months later, on November. I even quit my job to be present on that show, as my boss wouldn’t give me a day off. Since then you guys meant a lot to me. I fucking made a tattoo in the back of my shoulder writen Hopesfall with the same letters as the album The Satellite Years. Keep up the great work. You will always be a part of my life. Love you guys. God bless.

I was in the roughest most down moment in my life last year. But finding you guys genuinely made me wanna continue on like it sounds so silly but it's true. I had never heard music so personal and tender before. You guys were the right band I needed at the right time in my life. No Wings To Speak Of and The Satellite Years are some of the greatest pieces of music I have ever heard. I cant put it into words but it's just fucking amazing. The emotion, the passion, the musicianship. You guys opened the door for me when it came to Post Hardcore, Screamo, Trustkill. All that stuff. I know you hear a lot of fans go on with the same story and mine is probably but the same but I just thought you should know thankyou so much. I'm honestly taken to another world when I listen to you guys. That new song was fucking amazing by the way, I've listened to it about 10 times. Words cannot describe how excited I am for this album. Jay is a amazing person.... pretty cool Equal Vision has had his back this whole time...

First show I saw hopesfall was december 13 2002 in westlake california. With atreyu and avenged sevenfold. Not only are they the only band with music that stood the test of time, but I think they’re new music is the best stuff they’ve made. And I’ve listened to all their records a billion times. My livejournal(yea that old) name was frailtyofwords. The end of an era STILL gives me chills when I listen to it. But god damn this new shit is next level… or next galaxy in their case.
