Hopewell Rocks Park: Witness the Bay of Fundy's Extreme Tide

Located along the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada, Hopewell Rocks Park is both a geological and tidal wonder. We were warned, planning a geo day on the beach, to start to hang around the staircase well before the tide was due. If we missed the tide, we were to find the highest rock we could and get comfortable - it was going to take a while, like 10 hours.

On the flattest beaches the tide moves in at approx 30mph. Much faster than anyone can run.

That's a beautiful place. It's a pitty the water looks so dirty and not like the regular ocean. I assume it's that color due to the ocean floor in that area.
