I totally get it. But my take on it is they are getting more and more exact with understanding the different species, which helps with understanding how to keep and breed them. As an example, combining lineage 6 with lineage 9 into the newly named genus hoplisoma makes alot of sense because of how similar (in general) they are to trigger spawning. Now, if your not into trying to breed funky oddball stuff that is not really known in the hobby, I'm sure the changes are more of a hassle than they are worth. But knowing more details about species is one of the major reasons for a taxonomy reorg.
