Ricky, One correction @22:00: the crowd favor bead should start below the first entry circle of the favor track, as per the graphic on page 11 of the rulebook. Lovely introduction and tutorial on this game! I was up and running in short order, and the rules became less daunting. Thanks so much!

one of the tactics i've been employing that can be effective is using the AI targeting against them by drawing them to one side of the board... and then deploying a unit to draw them to the other side of the board. in the first half of the game this can buy you some time and also prolong the life of your units while you get positioned.

Did they change the rule for attacks happening after movement? After the warrior was killed by the beast, the immortal moved down and attacked the archer. In old Hoplo, the immortal would have had to stay and not get any attacks because the movement step was over. Or is there a special rule for immortals? Glad to see more Hoplo content! Can't wait for more Victorum!

Hi Ricky. Just bought the game at UKGE. Been after this game since I saw your original videos a long time ago. It’s been a game I’ve wanted in my collection. With your knowledge of Chip Theory, do you think they would ever put out the chips from Victorium as an expansion? For people who just want more for this game without buying the complete Victorium set. Thanks for the videos as always.

Question: if you have an other immortal with special abilities: will these special abilities trigger in thr first turn, while dazed? In the rulebook is written, you roll even the immortal do not attack.but count this also while dazed? Can you help? Btw.... excellent video

"Units are dazed on the turn when they are deployed. This means that units cannot move, attack, or use Abilities or Specials on the turn they enter play. This does not aect Innate skills, however, so since some units’ Innate skills allow them to move and/or attack, they can use those capabilities to do those things even while dazed."

Question: @20:55 shouldn't you have rolled the dice for the Immortal even if it didn't attack?

Only if the die-roll had some consequence? (Nuba has no special abilities that trigger from attack dice, so without a target, engaging and attacking with Nuba does nothing).

@@BoxofDelights Maybe I am misunderstanding the rules and making it more difficult for me, but from the rulebook's Immortal Engage Step: "The immortal carries out its Engage Step as normal for a rival. However, even on turns where it does not attack, it will always roll all of its attack dice". I was assuming that meant, roll the dice even if it does not have range and apply the special effects.

@@thitemple Exactly: roll the dice to apply any Specials. Nuba doesn't have any, so you can roll them... but they won't do anything.

Compare Nuba to someone like Blackbeard: he will give his allies 1HP on a Blue Hit; so rolling his dice has consequence. Hopefully that makes sense?

If I recall early update during hoplo victorum kickstarter...they redesign 1 of the 7 factions from machu pichu idea ... 😅 long time ago sorry for the lacl of precision...

Are the factions play asymmetrically? Even though they are slightly different?

they all play the same way, though they each have different stats and abilities, so there is only one set of rules to learn .
