Thanks for the video. I’ve just got the game at UKGE. I’ve had an eye on Hoplomachus since watching Ricky Royals videos of the original game. With your connection to Chip Theory, do you think they will bring out the Victorium chips as a separate set. I understand that you can use them in Remastered. Cheers.

Great review as always, but you mentioned a fondness for Circe and I couldn't help but wonder if you've read the excellent novel "Circe" by Madeline Miller. If you haven't, it's amazing!

The key question: with Remastered, would you keep any of the previous ones? I got Rise of Rome because of your reviews, loved it, and kept it while I wait for Remastered (I’m in the KS). It sounds like I could safely part with it!

I think you could safely part with it. I'm having a hard time offloading the old stuff for sentimental reasons, but rationally speaking there is no reason not to just transfer to the new stuff.

Thank you for your review. I only backed Victoruim since I already have Hoplomachus Lost Cities and Rise of Rome, is there going to be any type of upgrade pack or there is no need?

It's really a totally rebuilt game, one with factions that mix with the Victorum factions. You can either stay happy with the old stuff or upgrade to the new, but there is no upgrade pack that can bring them together.

Correct. The new gen stuff can be mixed and matched with each other, but NOT the old gen stuff.

Does this mean that even though I backed Victorum and already have The Rise of Rome and The Lost Cities there is still worth getting the Remastered version? It sounded like the Remastered version made the older ones no relevant which is disappointing after investing in them.

Just to confirm: Yes, if you don't want to play full campaigns, you should choose Remastered over Victorum.

If you already have a game collection, see if any of your games have a solo mode. Also, most co-op games are playable solo. Starting with what you already like is always a good idea.

OH my gosh I'm so sorry, been answering People's Choice Top 200 questions and it's all on the same screen for me. Remastered, hands down. It's the most accessible.
