I have an idea for the plexi glass that you have from the old cage! You know how pictures have class covering them in a frame? You could make a picture frame to hang on the wall with pictures of all of the hamsters you used to have in that cage, using the plexi glass you have now for a memory picture frame

I would LOVE to put a teeny tiny robo hamster or two in that cage. They LOVE burrowing, and that would be the perfect cage to put 8-10 inches of bedding so that they could burrow to their heart's content. Also, since they're so tiny you'd never have to clean it out.

I just want it done already, but it would most likely take longer if I rushed and things fell apart...then I'd have to do it all over again. What a beautiful desert tank!! I've always wanted to use that theme as well! I know how you feel, my hamster Caramel passed away a month ago. Finally after 2 and 1/2 weeks, I cleaned out his emoji themed tank, it kind of tore me up cleaning out his tank. But I made it into a beachside cage and another furry friend is going to live there soon ^_^ I'm so excited!

I got the log pieces at a bird store! :) You might check if you have any bird stores in your area as they oftentimes have bins of random wood bits you can buy.

Awesome video! It was fun to see the play cage get decorated, still can't wait to see the main cage decorated though! That's what I hate about aspen too, it always has such large chips or is too dusty, which is why I use Clean and Cozy for my hammy. Clean and Cozy isn't really natural looking though :P. The stairs turned out really nice! Super cool! I'm excited for more videos! Keep up the great work!

Omg HoppingHammy!! That cage is absolutely already so fabulous!! All the different substrates and oml those ears are ADoRabLEeEEEEeeee eeeek!!! XD love your room aswell! Haha I've been moving my room around and drawing out room designs and cage designs and such for the IKEA detolf and hamster I'll be getting soon!! I am really loving the feel that those nature backgrounds give to those cages! I always wonder if hamsters feel that way too or if it they mostly just enjoy the themed toys :) I wish I knew what animals were thinking sometimes! Hey HH I'm making a DIY cage 20 inches less then yours (in length) and was wondering how often should I fully clean it? Like once every 2 or 3 months? I'd spot clean once or twice a week and rearrange toys every week or 2 weeks and change and wash toys every month but would keep bedding in for like 2 or 3 or how ever months and not wipe it down or fully clean for how ever months, I was just wondering since idk lol, how often should I fully clean it?
