Hopsin raps about so much real shit that culture as a whole needs to take a look at. He's not rapping about growing up gang banging, or about getting all the money and bling. He's rapping about the real problems of culture. Real problems about him and his family. Real problems about what's wrong with people. Not political talking points and greed. This is why he's underrated. People don't like hearing the truth.

Hopsin isn't going mainstream. He's rapping about real things people go through everyday. With his recent songs, I'll mind 8 was a diss song telling his fans he's leaving funk volume. Bout the business was a song for his fans once again to show he's back at it and bringing Hopsin back- which made him famous. Die this way was a really touching story and people probably deal with that problem and he shows the consequences. This song is about cheating girls.

I find it pretty sad to see how so called "fans" of Hopsin don't understand how he's evolving as an artist. Nothing stays the same and just because he's using higher quality beats and switching the flow a little bit doesn't mean he's selling out, it just means that he's evolving to a different level as the artist he is. Real people understand that. And this is fire.

What I don't get is it's NOT a good beat. It's repetitive, so it gets stuck in your head. But I don't want a repetitive beat, I want a musically substantial beat that takes talent to create. His lyrics are still KIND OF clever, but the metaphors aren't even their and the rhyme schemes are OKAY. They use to be insane. He also changed his flow to the way that a lot of "trap" rappers have their flow, with a sort of muffled voice. And, for the grand finale, an extremely repetitive chorus with auto tune.

cant say that. you don't know what pac was to his generation if you werent in it.. nobody today is what what pac, biggie, kurt cobain were for their generation. nobody ever will be, that was pre internet. nothing is the same since the internet was in everyones pockets, theres so many more artists and genres its absurd. this generation is all wound up in their own little worlds, sharing pictures of the little kitten mittens they made for their cat for its birthday. which is just a picture they took from someone else online that made the cat gloves because they don't know how to knit and are too busy to learn how.... busy doing shit like this to make people think they're happy when they dont even have the birthday cat thats made up too..

People need to stop hating on Hop and saying he's becoming like the rappers he hated. For one, Hopsin doesn't like how rappers can't rap, talk about only getting hoes and how much money they got, don't take rap seriously but because they have a trap beat they sell records. Hopsin never said anything about how the production is and his message is the same as it always was, just on a new beat so you haters need to stop.

@x-sevenmusic92518 жыл бұрын
But the intricacy we all expect isn't there. He's dumbed the lyricism down just to grab the attention of another crowed. It's a marketing ploy, and yes, it's working, but it just doesn't seem like he's putting as much into it with these projects.
@XplicitGriefing8 жыл бұрын
But that's the whole point.. he used to hate on idiots who made this trap shit. Though I agree his lyrics are still good. He's realised that trap is easy to get a hold of and creates the views so he's taken advantage of that. I would rather a well produced song once every 6 months than something like this every week, my opinion ofc.
@covo65788 жыл бұрын
+XplicitGriefing not exactly. He hated people that rapped on trap shit without any meaning in the lyrics and just mumbled

@MiThRaZoR8 жыл бұрын
I agree. He's using Drake's singing on the chorus and flow of him, Desiigner/Future, and a few other mainstream rappers on a song called "False Advertising". As straightforward as he is, he has some subliminal messages too
@jeremyhenness75547 жыл бұрын
Subliminal? Not exactly Hopsin doesn't put on a filter on his lyrics, that's actually why he hasn't made mainstream, And why his fans are made up of such a cult following. . .well I guess you could say it's subliminalto the degree that 'Fuck the system' would actually mean penis inserted into the man's asshole. With Hopsin being the dick that is f****** the system or 'the man's asshole.
