I think he was more so trying to portray the “they might handle them like you did” as in dad was abusive getting arrested, then fast forward adult hop being arrested in front of the child as is the saying (don’t quote me 100%) but “like father like son” I got the impression he was being arrested for abuse in that moment as it made a lot of sense when thinking about the line he said right before

It never got violent, but before my dad had his depression diagnosed and medicated there were some....tough times. I remember walking out just to get away from the arguments, not even grabbing my shoes, walking along the highway and getting stopped by a deputy because someone called me in and thought I was a runaway from the local halfway house. I can only imagine what it was like to go through something like this. Jesus, man.

I grew up that same way n my first relationship was like this too... n ur right u get into a mindset that u deserve the punishments n shit n it becomes normal to walk on eggshells that always end up breaking no matter what, and when I had my kids I made sure to leave the first time he hit me in front of my daughters I broke down n left my own house that was in my name cuz he wouldnt leave n I was to scared to call the cops to now we hide.

I can talk about it now cuz I'm out of that place n I've learned when u can talk about it even with strangers it can help someone ur not even meaning to help... cuz that's what helped me I heard another womans story that was similar to mine n she got out so it gave me the strength to get out to, cuz when u go through stuff like that it's like normal n u dont think u can get out, but u jus gotta get the courage to take that first step... n never look back, I'm not at a place where I can trust men yet. Cuz I dont want my kids to se anything like that ever again so I havnt even talked to no guys since, but maybe one day I'll find a good guy, but even if i dont i got my beautiful daughters n that's enough for me...

@@danielle-yd5dp I couldn’t agree more. My biggest fear about men has come true for me with someone I trusted for years. Man turned out to be what I think is a sociopath, very good at acting, lying, manipulating, and somewhat obsessive. Made me doubt myself and even turned my “friends” against me. Harassed me for months the moment I discovered his fake personality. Since then everyone scares me and I’m still working on not assuming every man will be the same. This world can be so cruel and terrifying but beautiful at the same time. But I’m so happy to hear you’re okay and found a way out. I still wish nothing but blessings for you and your family.♥️

I love when rappers speak on real shit that either happened to them or they´ve seen somehow instead of some corny shit like bitches, watches and cars. Sure there is a place and time for stuff like that but this is what hip hop is really about, speaking on what matters to the artist and being honest, a true artform is what it is. It´s obviously not a song you throw on at a party but it is something you can listen to when you´re i a bad place mentally and it might just help you.
