I like taking new build ideas from various people. Making it my own little kill shack. Them demos almost went kaboom 😀 good build

Another tip if you want to use the parkour skill at level 4, your access ladder to the base doesn't need to be so low either,excellent video and the celebration at the end who never hahahaha.

I've seen a few people try these pyramid style horde bases, and yours is the first one that held up! 😁 great plan having the doors to keep them funneled into one fighting position at a time, but this would make a great multiplayer base also. Those two guys came in through the roof, likely by piling on top of each other at your choke points. If you use some 45 degree bars tilted outward above your fighting positions, it can keep them from being able to climb up and later ambush you after they punch through the roof. This is a cool design though, I like it! Great video, as always

@@OhKayGamer I just started a new game with my friends @Huscarl104. We are playing 7 Days with the War3zuk mod. Have you ever tried that mod? It is challenging to say the least! I will be playing this weekend, but will be out of town next week for business, and we are coming into the busy season, so I do not know what time I will have after next week. I will still be able to catch up with your videos while on the road, of course.

This game really is just a constant war between the Devs and players to see who can out-exploit the other. Very cool design. Your idea is 99% cheese free. The 1% is you still are circumventing rage mode when they fall by using the 13-block rule. I also use an elevated funnel with a staging area with electric fences like you do, but I just accept rage mode as a legit thing mindless zombies would do. You're not using major cheese though like drops that exploit pathing or forcefields so going to have to say this is the best cheese-free end game horde base I've seen so far.

Nice and simple, I like it :) edit: I noticed that in 1.2 TFP changed something and now scaf ladders can let zeds, dogs and vultures phase trought.

They've always been able to glitch through under the right circumstances. When Z's ragdoll they can clip into blocks weird and the way the game resolves that collision when they stand back up sometimes puts them inside your defenses. It's not just the scaffolding ladder blocks they do that with, it can happen with any block but the thinner the blocks the more likely it is that the collision resolution will decide that your side of the blocks makes sense to stand them back up in. It's the same phenomenon that causes them to sometimes glitch half way into the ground or to just fall through the world in spots.

On the roof you can place spike traps and robotic sledgehammers to protect the top. And on the sides, a plate-shaped block also had sledgehammers, to knock down the zombies. Making them circulate. I've seen some videos like that. And there are some bases that use a 3x6 or 4x8 garage door opening downwards so the zombies fall and you close it again, preventing them from accumulating as well. Sorry for the giant text and possible mistakes I made when using the translator.

That’s my base!! 9x9 15 high but with one tight rope attack zone. Built by day 2 and lasts until day 100 easy. I add another 9x9 for storage room later on.

Think its the Fact that falling over 11 blocks stops them going into rage mode,,Great design though I feel the ones that got inside were piled up and squeezed through the window

Looks like it's working really well! TLDR; do the powered doors work for flow control in the sideways orientation as well? So that the Z's would path across when the door is powered ON and pathing would shut down when power is OFF? I'm wondering whether it was a deliberate choice to make it so that the default position for your flow control doors was for the lane to be active when Powered Off? My tendency to design with the presumption of inevitable failure in mind really doesn't like the idea that if someone manages to take out my generator I'd loose pathing control and all lanes would be open for business full time. I'd prefer my failure state to be all lanes closed so that I have space to work on a fix but I haven't used powered doors in v1 so unsure if there are changes in the way the AI pathing treats them.

Nice base :) Only improvement I could suggest is if you can try to have multiple rows of electric fences. Like 3-4 is a solid choice. I'm doing a horde every night playthrough and I found that having multiple electric fences ensures that I have to do less repairs at the end of the night, which is crucial for my settings but might be less important in 7-day hordes 🙂 I also have the issue where blocks in the middle of a staircase would get damaged - my guess is zombies beating on them as they fall perhaps - pretty annoying to fix 🤣
