horden 1980ish i think

blackhills road and seventh street i think it is in the 1980s but when the camera looks down third street i cannot see nimmos

Only ever passed through Horden but always liked it, it reminds me of an England which doesn't really exist so much, anymore. It's such a shame to see it in the state it is, we should be cherishing our old mining towns, it's our heritage. I'm from Newcastle but despite the bad headlines I'd still consider moving to Horden, and I hope one day many others will and restore it to glory. Thatcher was before my time but I understand the hatred for her, seeing the sort of communities she tore apart.
