Hello Mike. Thank you for another honest video. As you mention, the turn signalhandle/direction selector was a massive eyeopener for me together with the HALL effect sensors. The joystick part looks very nice, with plenty of buttons and axis. The "rubber buttons" may be a problem though, if not done right, with the correct amount of travel and contact inside, they can either ruin or safe the joystick. A VERY interesting product that i have on my list to look for in the commming months.

keep in mind that Thrustmaster has introduced a simTask farmstick. while it doesn't have as many buttons etc. im sure it would likely be of better quality. although i am lookig forward to reviews. I also seen somewhere that Hori won't be selling the joystick separately because as they said "it is meant to be a set". But I guess time will tell

I have hori rwa steering wheel which is a cheap steering wheel with 270° of rotation and the build quality is fantastic, i have high hope for this one

If i'm gonna buy this one, i would only use it for FS. FS has the most horrible force feedback of any game that i ever played, i usually disconnect the wheel to disable it anyways. So i would not miss that function. But as my setup now includes the saitec panel, dual joystick, wheel with pedals and the tm gearstick (+ track-ir) i think i'm skipping this one. The blinker thing does look nice tho.. hm

Hey sim, just wondering can this be connected to a nintendo switch box that allows this to be used on your tv, Im not sure if it can but hoping you can give me an awnser 😊 Edit: I have the hori mario cart wheel and to connect that to my switch box all it is, is a USB cable that plug directly into it so i would assume it would work but id like to me 110% sure before I purchase it

I asked HORI, They Said "Thank you very much for contacting us at HORI and for your interest. HORI Farming Wheel simulator was designed for PC only. The situation may of course change in the future, but for the time being, in the short term, it is only compatible with PC (Windows)."

From all the research I've done this will ONLY work for farming simulator which I hope is wrong because I really like this and wanna buy it but I want it to work for other games like ATS as well

I haven't been able to test but: Yes it shoukd work just fine & the mode button allows the same button to be used (with the mode button) twice. So button 1 = handbrake Mode + button 1 = Exit the vehicle for example.

Yes you certainly could, but no FFB.

Theoretically yes. Some games (some of the less well designed) won't recognise ALL wheel and or controller inputs (snowrunner for example). Beam NG is very well made, so I expect it will recognise it (but until I have one to test that isn't 100% guaranteed). Shifters like the th8a are independent of the wheel, so will just require a spare USB port and will work alongside any wheel (so long as the game detects it). The issue with the wheel is the lack of FFB, you will def. Notice the lack of information given back on a game like Beam.

as an owner of one of these, ATS does recognize it, however just a heads up that it seems to have a default dead zone that gets annoying at least for me really quick and the Hori device manager doesn't have a slider to adjust said dead zone.

​​@@BGStrouseYou can manage the dead zone in American Truck Sim options menu, might be the setup wizard or controller options or maybe just even controls. pretty sure I did it through the setup wizard and chose manual shifter with clutch and then it lets you manage all dead zones. I have to do it for one of my controllers cuz its got a wonky stick lmao
