I have loved this man's voice since the mid-80s the first time I ever heard it. like many people who follow an actor's career, I would know his voice anywhere. There have been certain scenes where if all you had was his voice to go by it would be as clear as a video. I've loved his stories every time he wins an award. I've been rooting for him for so long I feel like I've known him forever. Rediculas, but true. I am always on his side, i will always smile when i hear him, and I can't wait to see this latest western.

Costner doesn’t do interviews very often I’ve heard, he’s rather reserved, but when he does speak he’s either very to the point, or very humble and sincere, he’s not self-aggrandising, he just hopes that people can relate to how passionate he feels about making these films, and hopefully enjoys it, and honestly that’s all that matters in the end. He staked this money in art he loved to make, so he could die without regrets, in the hope that perhaps someone else might experience it the way he did and be touched by it. And also, we have too few Westerns nowadays, and too few historical epics, so I think anyone can appreciate this ambitious film for at least trying, rather than being a corporate sleazy content/algorithm product meant thats dumbed down for consumers

Well, he’s experienced this so many times. He had some wins and losses. But in the end, as he said, movies are not about opening weekend. He can say that because he’s experienced it. He put his money on the table, might not broke even with box office, but overtime with licensing and physical media sales, he’s still profitable.

I love that he constantly stresses that yes he is a celebrity, and ppl view him as that, but he’s literally a person just trying to get his art made and funded and a parent watching his children grow up. Ppl instantly demonise any actor that’s got fame and therefore money and dehumanise them as some vague ‘evil Hollywood elite’. Wtf is the use of that. This guy is taking his money, well-earned money, and using it to make art he’s passionate about and take care of his kids. What’s so horrible about that
