Thanks, I was stuck and your video helped me get the assembly torn down all the way; I didn't see the 6 screws holding it together. Also, I was able to get the rods from Hobbytown because they are in stock there.

This was dang near the perfect video for me. I’ll be attempting to replace my retract with a new one. And then try to get this strut off the old one… Never done this before so I’m a little nervous. My A-10 is my baby lol Good vid my guy!…

Lol started making my own 4mm rods. Also send that horizon finally got with the program and eliminated the e-clips on the new retract pins.

Hi - at 2.01 the assembly that you take off the strut that is secured with a grub screw - there's meant to be a spacer/washer on there somewhere? Either before or after that assy that you show taking on/off?

Is the new screw you put in your nose strut stronger that the original? Should I remove my original pin and replace with a stainless machine screw?

I actually went with a m4 12.9 hardness screw from ace hardware. Stainless kept bending easy, the original broke easy. The 12.9 hardness m4 screw lasted forever.

Thank You! I just got my A-10 but had a similar issue with my 1.3 Trojan and after I replaced the front strut it is much stronger!

Sorry for asking to much. Have you changes the pins on the mains yet? I had to change one and trying to get the pin out it wouldnt pull out. Are they set in with e clips as well? When i took apart i seen no eclip and it had some play but wouldnt come out.

Do i didnt but its went off the runway a few times, it handles fresh cut grass ok, anything else not so much
