Yeah it kinda sucks that ur supposed to drain the whole bar but I made good use of it. I instakilled two tremor tusks, got my parts, quick traveled to a slaughter spine to slaughter it 😁 I think it would also be a huge game changer if u somehow were able to slow down the bar or an op endgame item which let's u start every fight with a full bar.

I don't disagree that it's a good game, but even after the update, it's still ridiculously buggy. Can't even disengage from the machines that shoot the weights at the tall neck near Las Vegas. Had to wait each time for a machine to start attacking me before it would let me off.

I used one to get on top of the second tallneck I came across. I legit thought that was how you do it. I find out later your suppose to shoot it and trip it up.... totally worth it thou. How many people have been able to do that I wonder. Took me over an hour to get right.

I love how this game doesn't just avoid pigeon holing you into a specific play style. But actually encourages you to change up for different circumstances. How many times do you go stealth, only to find that it makes boss fights near impossible. Here you can't literally get all the skills and completely change your armor/ weapon/ and Valor surge to make yourselves a noisy damage dealing tank to take out the big boys. But then it can still makes sense to stealth around to take out those medium machines because those expensive high damage spike throwers are expensive to use all the time.

I love the part breaker surge. Tearblast arrows ain't cheap to make, so I still use it on really tough enemies.

I definitely want an increase in range for for ALL arrow attacks and skills especially The Volley shots. I also want an increase in rock throwing distance. It's too damm short. More traps to use at the same time without using armor mods.

Does Powershots or Ranged Master increase tear damage as well? Eg Tearblast arrows or a high tear hunter arrow. Edit: Just did some testing on Thunderjaw disc launchers using advanced hunter arrows (200+ tear) and tearblast arrows. It doesn’t look like Powershots, Ranged Master or Critical Boost affect tear damage. It took 3 shots of tearblast and 5 of hunter no matter what. This is on very hard difficulty.

I play on very hard and i genuinely dont think i could play a different surge than toughened potion. Its a shame cos it would be cool to try other types but its just essential in so many of the fights to stop one shots

Yeap , a quick toggle to turn off valor surge to not waste it all , and also a quick wheel to choose the valor that the player wants to use , and also save builts of costumes and weaves , for a quicker gameplay and different machine tactics. Something like a Nioh quick select wheels. I think . I guess R1 up or down on the cross , maybe 🤔? Idk or R1 tap L2 or L1 . 😂

I love pairing the maxed out Ranged Master Valor Ability with a certain "explosive" Sharpshot Bow Ability and let me tell you it does some destructive damage to any large machine if you hit a weak spot, and can severely damage or kill medium machines and 1-shots small machines...unless you don't hit directly that is. I also have an opinion I want to state: *Personally I have never felt the Behemoth is a true large machine as it is the easiest to kill out of all large machines since it has VERY easy to access weak spots, however it is (At least to me) nearly the fastest land machine.*

Next time I’m in a fight, I’ll remember to smear some paint on my face to make my punches harder. Jk. But no matter what difficulty I’m on, I’ll pick valor surges based on their cool factor and I think it looks way cooler when she uses tech stuff to power up than just smearing a different coat of paint on her face and then somehow her attacks magically deal damage to several targets at once….

I made the mistake of convincing myself to do a NG+ on the new ultra hard mode. Honestly probably a mistake. Even the small machines will 2 shot you, and large machines have some attacks that will 1 shot you, even with lvl 50 and legendary armor. Really pigeon holes you into a long range playstyle because you just cant afford to tank hits at all.

Jor I flew on the sun wing over to the metal devil at the Golden Gate Bridge, and there is a Horus energy cell you can pick up and use. I tested in on the slaughterspine nearby and it gave it the electric debuff Edit: I checked the one at devils grasp and it has one too, so they probably all do

Instead of making us able to turn the Valor Surges off (which would give us more control over it) Guerilla could make it so that we cannot activate them outside of combat and active surges end once combat is over. That way the player would not get that much more control over the feature, but we would waste valor as a ressource way less.

I only used a valor surge once in my play through. I was always worried I’d activate one and then end up wasting it and have to wait ages to build it back up again. Eventually I just forgot they were there. I much preferred just having the shield weaver armour.

Also you can do the refill ammo trick with the Power Shots Valor. Select the weapon you want to refill ammo with. Then activate a full bar Power Shots Valor. Then quickly save in a campfire. Then load from last save. Valor will still be full and your ammo too. Repeat

I cannot fully upgrade the Crit Chance Valor Surge cause the Long Coast Ruin and Speedy Lancehorn Salvage Contract are glitches for me. I have completed both, delivered the ornament to Stemmur and even gotten the Oseram Artificer armor for doing all the salvage work, but still don't have the rewards correlated with those activities.

Check a KZbin video on th3 locations of all the relic ruins to see if your missing any . I was missing one and that’s why I was missing out on the legendary shredder gauntlet . . . Also they need to make the flying mount a lot faster in the air it is a bit slow

Nope. it fuctions like a standard Braced Shot. Better to use it with Ranged Master, or maybe Stealth Stalker (if it has not been nerfed).

Maybe I just suck with them but I find the machine AI on Very Hard too smart for traps, they always flank around them. Been using Powershot and its made it bareable on the hardest difficulty.

I started off using the ranged damage buff and I liked it but then I tried out the crits surge and liked it a bit more and then I finally tried powershots and I'm using it now Cuz I already don't really use surges for much else than to either shred a big group or bonk a big machine and boy does powershots bonk Double nock forgefall arrows and you hit like a fucking truck while also getting 2 free arrows lol Edit: I've also tried the melee surge and I liked it for rebel camps. You literally just activate it and ravage the rebels

I honestly think the valor surge system is pretty underwhelming. I’ve played on normal difficulty and never switched from using the shield. Having to go through menus to change them and only having the ability to use 1 is clunky imo
